#Introduction

Hello everyone, I am the Fedicate Project. Ran and managed by @sam and the whole @studio team.

As a project I am here to Educate, Home and Introduce people to the Fediverse through various means.

One method is by currently running a invite only Instance through social.fedicate.org where we have accounts such as @[email protected] update people or share updates from accounts like this one on our developing instance.

Our other areas is making little videos showing off and explaining different parts of the Fediverse along with physical flyers and posters available to be purchased / given out.

Ive been trying to work out ways to promote my instances that I run but am kind of stuck as how do you promote a local based instance for my local city and a motorbike instance?

I created two more little graphics for everyone to possibly come across. Obviously these are meant to for my two instances I run BikersGo.Social and App.Southampton.Social

De ce que j'ai compris, le fait de partager ce qu'on apprécie ou qu'on trouve intéressant, c'est ça qui rend le truc vivant et qui fait que les instances communiquent bien entre elles :)
Donc il ne faut pas hésiter à utiliser le petit bouton "rebooster", le bouton "favori" ne rend pas les posts visibles pour les autres !

Over the month of May 20, 2023 - Jun 18, 2023, https://toot.works has seen three new sign-ups, 16 active users, and 1,085 interactions.

It is a small instance but we are using the https://infosec.exchange relay, so the federated feed is hopping.

Application for registration is open, if anyone is interested in joining.

Even worse is that some instances are using (Sc)amazon or Cloudflare to serve content.

We need to find ways to resist this.

People who operate sites dedicated to listing #fediverseInstances are welcome to contact us and ask us to do an assessment of instances they list. We are happy to volunteer to do this.

Knowledge is #power, and we need to remain as vigilant as ever to ensure the power remains #distributed.

We were informed mas.to are back on cloudFlare and last we checked, gleasonator is cf'd.

All people of interest to us have already been notified, on this servers and we will pin this toot so others experiencing issues who check our timeline will understand.

For two years we've been arguing for all #FediverseInstances to have onionsites.

Every single instance on #Fediverse should officially be embarrassed today.

Flepping #Twitter has beat us to this.

We may save face by going one-up on this and jumping to #eppsites too. We think #I2P has a number of benefits overs Tor, including every node being a router and humanReadable addresses.

Only a few instances we know are made for I2P (see #Epicyon).

A #shameful day for #Fedizens

Is it easy to change a handle on Mastodon specifically?

All links will need to "redirect" to the newHandle. And on the individual instance at least, it would be nice if all the links were changed to the new name.
