In grün ist die Hardware eingezeichnet, die mit Strom läuft, den wir mit euren Spendengeldern bezahlen. In rot ist die Hardware eingezeichnet, die Strom frisst, den wir selbst bezahlen. Ziemlich genau die Hälfte unserer Jahresausgaben sind also bisher durch Spenden finanziert. Hilfst du uns bis Jahresende den grünen Bereich noch zu vergrößern?

Im August habt ihr uns, der Fediverse Foundation, 673€ gespendet!
Würden wir jedes Monat so viele Spenden bekommen, wären unsere jährlichen Ausgaben gedeckt.
Meistens bekommen wir so um die 300€/Monat gespendet, aber im August konnten wir erstmals kostendeckend arbeiten - danke dafür!

Am 21.September gibts außerdem die Gelegenheit unseren @michaelpollak bei der Re:Publica in Hamburg kennen zu lernen. Er hält 16:45-17:15 einen kurzen Vortrag im "Hangar" und hat Flyer und Sticker mit. Wie viel ihr pro Flyer oder Sticker spenden müsstet um unsere Finanzierungslücke zu schließen, wollt ihr gar nicht wissen. 😉

Too many ideas for things to do...
None of them would make any money.

Which of these ideas should I keep pursuing?

1) A new #ClimateJustice activism group, that doesn't spend money on social media ads. So it will have a hard time growing big.

2) A webportal for onboarding people to different activism groups. You answer a questionnaire and then you get (a) suggestion(s).

3) A non-profit that plants #trees and #MicroForest's.

4) None of them. So I have more time to work on the #FediverseFoundation.

Long time no hear - aber ab jetzt sollte es bald wieder mehr Neuigkeiten von uns geben. Wie @paula bereits geposted hat, ist unsere Vereinsgründung nun endlich durch, und wir sind nun offiziell die:

**der Verein zur Förderung von freien sozialen Netzwerken**

Wir würden uns natürlich - und jetzt erst recht - freuen, wenn wir weitere Freiwillige für die Mitarbeit begeistern könnten. Siehe dazu auch mehr in den Serverannouncements!

Zwischenzeitlich haben sich bereits einige weitere Mastodon Instanzen in unserem Verein gesammelt, und wir haben nun auch eine Statuspage hochgezogen, auf der die aktuelle Verfügbarkeit unserer Services eingesehen werden kann:

An der Technik-Front haben wir natürlich auch weitergearbeitet und Verbesserungen eingeführt. Da es zwischenzeitlich immer lästiger wurde, bei der zunehmenden Anzahl an Instanzen, stets die für den reibungslosen Betrieb korrekte Anzahl an Sidekiq Job containern bereitzustellen, haben wir das Problem jetzt permanent gelöst.
