Es hat sich im 4.7er release oberflächlich kaum etwas geändert - die meisten Neuerungen fanden "unter der Haube" statt und sind vorbereitend für die Version 5.0, bei der es dann wieder größere sichtbare Änderungen geben wird.

Today we're releasing v1.3.0 with some significant improvements over the initial version:

- Improved Matrix message formatting (now also looks acceptable on mobile clients)

- Added configurable handling for signups where the user does not complete email confirmation within the timeout window

- Added detection for manual approvals and rejections performed directly in the Mastodon admin UI

- Updates for changed webhook behavior introduced in Mastodon v4.6

- Various fixes for edge cases, HTTP and JSON handling

Grab the code and installation instruction from our repo:

Wouldn't it be nice, I hear you say, if there were a way to streamline this workflow a bit? Well, glad you asked. We've built a bot that does exactly that, with a nice Matrix messenger integration:
* Notifies you in a dedicated Matrix room about new signups
* Enriches the message with GeoIP location lookups
* Handles any number of Mastodon instances in parallel
* ...and you can quickly approve or reject signups just by adding a "checkmark" or "cross" emoji!

We're probably not the only ones struggling with bot signups and the tedium of checking applications manually for validity via the Mastodon interface, possibly having to check the sign-up IPs too just to make sure no bots slip through.
