I've got social media accounts set up for my professional assocation: #Mastodon, #Bluesky (that's where everyone is, apparently) and #Instagram (the younger folks are all there).

Bluesky looks interesting I guess. Hard not to see Instagram as a conventional social media dumpster fire. As soon as I log in with a new account I'm served up AI video and fitness grifter 'influencers'.

Hopefully my activity there will be limited to posting via #Fedica, because it looks so tacky.

Nun, ich möchte künftig etwas breiter meine Erfahrungen und Erkenntnisse posten. Das hier zu posten macht weniger Sinn, als auf den anderen Plattformen - im besonderen wenn man für #mastodon etc. wirbt. Natürlich ist es keine Option das nicht im #fediverse zu posten und natürlich muss ich zunächst alles von #meta bedienen. Alles manuell zu posten kostet viel Zeit. Aktuell nehme ich den kostenlosen #Fedica Account bereits für die Vereinsarbeit. Das funktioniert sehr gut. (1/2)

Primary? Yes.
Only? Not really, but mostly.

I use #Mastodon as my primary social media, especially as I'm self-hosting my own server. I do visit #Bluesky and #Threads occasionally, but that's like once a week to check for replies and so on to stuff I cross-post via #Fedica.

Is it working for me? Yeah, in the main. Sadly the main reason I'd been using Twitter for pre-Musk was for the World of Warcraft community there. They never really migrated en masse, and very few came over to Mastodon sadly, but the ones that did and stayed are great!

Bsky sees the next amount of activity from me, and that is mainly World of Warcraft and very little else.

Threads is barely used.

This launch of #Forkiverse by PJ, Kevin and Casey has got me inspired, so I got switched from mastodon.social to the Forkiverse, verified myself on here, and I found #Fedica to tie together Threads, #BlueSky, and Forkiverse for a one stop shop for all my federated social media needs!

Fedica, my favourite multi posting app has moved onto V2.0!

Tatsächlich wäre ich bereit dafür zu zahlen, aber 15$ sind dann für meine Freizeitzwecke doch etwas happig, vor allem, weil ich den goßen Mehrwert für reichweiten Wachstum noch nicht sehe. #Fedica werben für sich mit "Build a thriving social media community

Ich teste App und Browserversion für meinen Pixelfed-Account und finde es ist ein ganz angenehmer Support, über #Fedica Posts planen zu können. Mit den Fotos will ich nicht Tagesaktuell posten, dafür regelmäßiger und da hilft so ein Plaungstool.

Man kann seine Posts über mehere Netzwerke und Konten hinaus planen und automatisiert posten lassen. Via KI kann man sich auch direkt Post-Zeitpunkte vorschlagen lassen.

Kostenfrei bis 10 Posts in der Pipeline. Ab da 15$/m.

Ja. Allerdings kommt er noch nicht bei meiner Pixelfed-App an. Hier kann ich ihn aber schon sehen.

Post scheint wie geplant online gegangen zu sein. Jetzt mal weiter schauen, was #Fedica noch kann. Arbeitserleichterungen für Serien wie zuletzt aus Kopenhagen fänd ich schon klasse.

@Armavica With #Fedica, for example, you can then cross-post on several platforms at the same time. Just for Facebook, I believe you need a page and not just an account. But #Instagram, #Bluesky, #Mastodon and others are there.

Normally, a #Pixelfed update with better integration of stories and UX should be coming soon to @dansup .

Among other things, this will allow publications to be opened without having to change the URL, which can be tedious.

Just out of curiosity... anyone have any experience with #Fedica? It's primarily a tool for businesses and organizations to manage their social media presence across multiple platforms, and it appears to be one of very few that supports both Mastodon and Bluesky. I want to suggest something like this to my local furry conventions, like #AnthroExpo, to hopefully remove barriers and entice them to have a presence on Fedi... and I'm wondering how it handles showing engagements across platforms.

Like it or not, #Mastodon successfully did an #EEE of the #Fediverse as far as API is concerned.

Non-Mastodon software with Mastodon API implemented can be connected to third-party services like brid.gy and fedica.com, to mention a few.

It is rare to see third-party services implement any support for non-Mastodon software using their respective API. #Fedica recently added #Pixelfed support; and a few other alt #frontends support either #Misskey or #Pleroma.

So… yeah, there's no doubt the “competition” is over as far as this particular usage is concerned. Mastodon won, got what it wants. Either implement it and allow your users to use other third-party software… or don't and wait for other developers to support your platform.

Not good, but we have to face the reality sooner rather than later, so we can move forward. Maybe make it part of #ActivityPub 2.0 and finally have a universal fediverse API that all can agree with and use.
