Das #Fedeverse und seine hashtags machen manchmal magische Sachen. Heute ist mir jemand gefolgt , der irgendwie für einen neuen Podcast von #MajaGöpel mit Gästen verantwortlich ist: Da stellt Maja eher intelligente Fragen, als Antworten zu geben.

@Gargron: Hey #Mastodon / #fedeverse : At NO POINT IN TIME YESTERDAY - on my web page "explore" page on mastodon.social - did #Hashtags contain:
#HurricaneHelene, #Hurricane, or #Helene
None showed up - even though when I typed them, they had FAR MORE USES in the "autocomplete" drop-down than the hashtags that DID SHOW UP!
Fix this please!

I spent a few months exploring the +/- of revisiting Twitter post #TwitterExodus.
Why? The fact of the matter is I still have 10x the connections on that platform, many of whom have 100x what they can get on here. That sunk cost is felt daily on the #fedeverse.
The conclusion will be satisfying, however. It’s unequivically awful to be there. The tone is toxic, the ads are divisive and delusional.
I miss how easy it is to connect with people and I still don’t think it’s worth it. I’m all set.

Bluesky is relatively new but they managed to achieve over 5 million users since its start.
This is not to be underestimated.
In comparison, #mastodon is being used by about 15 million users to date. Not to speak about different #fedeverse services like #miskey and #sharkey where you can have a similar yet better user experience but with a lack of app support.

Also je mehr sich hier im #fedeverse tut, desto unübersichtlicher wird es aber auch. „Fear of missing out“ #fomo stellt sich ein und ich komme nicht mehr hinterher ohne #algorithm #algorythms . Auch werden #boosts doppelt und dreifach angezeigt. Wir ist eure Strategie dazu hier Übersicht zu behalten? #hilfe

@Are0h There are about 6 or 7 billionaires that own 85%-90% of the ISPs (internet providers).
Those are the people getting $millions daily from users like you & me and millions of others around the world becuz those companies are Global.
THEY are ONLY interested in commerce that affects their bottom line. Some of those CEO's & "owners" donate $billions over time, 2 political parties that promote Hate.
Times are changing & I for one am Glad that the #fedeverse is growing. -

You missed my point entirely. The "web" as in the *entire Internet* is FULL of hateful racist anti-LGBTQ women hating actors, which is evident to all those who DON'T use this great Mastodon Independent network.
