👓 It's #Feblurari - which means on Fridays some servers are highlighting images that don't have #AltText with a special border, in our case it's caution tape🚧
Thanks to @Gargron and the #MastoDev team we now have the ability to edit media descriptions in existing toots, so why not go play with the new feature!

Vivaldi Social will be participating in #Feblurari throughout the month of February, to highlight the importance of alt text on images for people with visual impairments. Every Friday of the month we'll be adding a snippet of CSS to our code which will blur images without alt-text. The blur will be removeable by hovering over the image.

💞 This week's #MercherMindful falls on #DyddSantesDwynwen - a day to express love!
#AltText is wonderful way to show love to your Fediverse followers, but it's a new habit for some.
So, in Feb we will be starting #Feblurari to help raise awareness - images with no caption will be temporarily blurred on Fridays 😱
