Too much fun! And yeah! We covered everything we wanted to talk about -- #Lovecraft, #MajorTom, #SpaceAliens... It was a blast!

What a way to begin #BowieMass -- by making the world #AfraidOfAmericans! And under the watchful eye of #BigBrother! Our modern prophets warn us -- yet we do not listen!

#FeastOfSaintBowie #DavidBowie #Prophet #Prophecy

Fast forward to #Blackstars and #Revelations! I hope to leave this world listening to this song (and #Lazarus). So much is revealed in this video on a #Gnostic level. And yes, that is a #Cthulhu -like being harvesting the sacrifice. And the skull of #MajorTom being worshiped in a dark future. I mean seriously... Why not worship #DavidBowie? It makes about as much sense (or more) than following most made-up religions (and yes, they are ALL made up).

"Something happened on the day he died / spirit rose a meter, then stepped aside / somebody took his place and bravely cried / I'm a #Blackstar / I'm a Blackstar...."

Another gem from 1997 (with an equally dystopian video to accompany it) -- #DavidBowie's #LittleWonders!

#DavidBowie and #TrentReznor had a very cool friendship. Trent credits Bowie with his sobriety. And, well, they also made powerful music together! This is one of my favorite videos of all time (from 1997)!

Another blast from the past... Remember when #TrentReznor and #DavidBowie teamed up in 1995? History was made!!!

One more cover... Of course, #TheCure's cover of #DavidBowie's #YoungAmericans. A bit on the poppy side, but it must have been one of #RobertSmith's wild mood swings...

Speaking of #DeathRock, #RozzWilliams (of #ChristianDeath) does an excellent cover of #DavidBowie's "Time". I've always thought Rozz Williams had Bowie's vocal style -- and this track shows it!

The Bowie Bible describes #DavidBowie's #ChantOfTheEverCirclingSkeletalFamily as the "The climactic final track on David Bowie's 1974 album Diamond Dogs. 'Chant Of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family' is a two-minute piece which emerge from the final notes of 'Big Brother'." Personally, I think this is not only one of the first real #GothicRock songs, I suspect the band #SkeletalFamily (named after this song) agrees with me!

This #DavidBowie video from 1984's #LovingTheAlien always gave me the creeps. And I love #SalvadoreDali's artwork.

Here's a blast from the past... 1979 to be exact! I remember watching this live on #SNL (I was a teenager) and really digging #KlausNomi's #Goth look and ethereal nature!

So, in honor of #DavidBowie's Death Day, I'll be posting some of my favorite darker Bowie videos -- as well as some #Goth Bowie covers! Stay tuned, gentle people...

#DavidBowie performing '#FiveYears' on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test, 1972.

"Taken from #Bowie's The Rise and Fall of #ZiggyStardust and the Spiders from Mars released in June 1972, which featured the singles Starman, Suffragette City and Rock 'n' Roll Suicide."

More #BowieArt. This piece was inspired by #Blackstar.

Another #BowieArt piece I felt called to keep -- #MementoMori Bowie! I loved making the eyes! "At the center of it all... Your eyes..."
#BowieMass #FeastOfSaintBowie #DavidBowie #Blackstar

I've also used #FeastOfSaintBowie. A kind of inside joke, based on a post-nuclear war story, "The Feast of Saint Janis" (which was about Janis Joplin worship). I believe the story was published in the anthology, "A Canticle for Leibowitz". @buffyleigh @1001otheralbums.com

This was fun to make for the #BowieNight auction. And it came with extra Bowie pictures (and an electric tea light inside). Is it a box? Is it a nightlight? It's a cosmic #BowieBox!
