Taylor Farms does not specify where products were served or sold, as US braces for weeks more of outbreak

"Taylor Farms recalled potentially contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce in 27 states on Friday, including lettuce distributed as recently as Thursday, as cases of #cyclosporiasis continue rising in the US.
"The US is likely to see at least another two weeks of possible cases, since infections may have happened in recent days. And the expanding outbreak investigation could point to other products in coming days.
"Taylor Farms named 27 states where the iceberg lettuce was distributed and included lot codes of produce – but it did not specify the brand names of the products or where they were served and sold. This will likely complicate the recall, with stores, restaurants and consumers attempting to understand which brands and products may be contaminated.
"The mega-producer is removing the lettuce that came from its #Guanajuato facility in central Mexico, 'because it has the potential to be contaminated with Cyclospora', according to the recall notice. Large retailers like Costco, Target and Walmart carry Taylor Farms products, and the producer also owns organic farms like Earthbound Farm."

"So... We got the exploding diarrhea. Here's my advice for anyone who doesn't have it yet:
It's going to take a minute for the government to pin down where this is coming from, and then issue a recall, because the FDA has been gutted. But, I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt : this is coming from Taylor Farms produce, and you will see them recalled.
You'll want to avoid all #TaylorFarms produce in the grocery store. They supply #McDonalds, #KFC, #PizzaHut, about any fast food place you can think of.
Raspberries, watermelons, cilantro, and the veggies you're hearing about are not causing this many people to get sick. It's the shredded #lettuce, specifically, that's the problem. But, you'll want to stay away from every type of produce this company puts out, because one strand of shredded lettuce is all it takes to contaminate bushels."Taylor Farms is the source. #TacoBell proactively pulled their produce from their restaurants. You're going to see other fast food places doing this, and probably will see that before the government names a source. The #FDA knows this, but they can't come out and tell us all until there's proof, which takes resources and research, which takes manpower, but the FDA has been cut by about 20-30%.
During the Biden term, onions at McDonald's had ecoli. We knew this because DNA testing was done quickly and they were able to narrow it down to one place that caused the outbreak. And, it was traced back to Taylor Farms. This isn't going to be solved as quickly though.
When you get this, make a virtual appointment to your PCP - a "same day sick" appointment. Tell them someone in your family just tested for this and was positive and was prescribed Bactrim. If you go in person, they're probably going to make you poop in a cup and wait until results come back to prescribe.You'll know when you get this. Trust me on all of this.
You'll want to stay hydrated because this parasite damages the lining of the small intestine. Your small intestine, in turn, secretes more water into the gut, and less nutrients and liquid are able to remain in the body. So no matter how much you shit, you're going to want to drink. A day of this leads to dehydration if you don't increase your fluid intake, and a few days will land you in the hospital.
If you have headaches, weakness, muscle cramps, dizziness, or an increase heart rate - hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Go to the ER for fluids if you can't drink enough.

" 'If the vaccine were no longer available or covered by insurance, it will take the choice away from families who wish to protect their children from COVID-19, especially among families already facing barriers to care,' said Dr. Sean O’Leary of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
"Provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows more than 47,000 Americans died from COVID-related causes last year. The virus was the underlying cause for two-thirds of those and it was a contributing factor for the rest. Among them were 231 children whose deaths were deemed COVID-related, 134 of them where the virus was the direct cause -- numbers similar to yearly pediatric deaths from the flu.
"The new FDA approach is the culmination of a series of recent steps under Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. scrutinizing the use of COVID shots and raising questions about the broader availability of vaccines. It was released two days ahead of the first meeting of FDA’s outside vaccine experts under the Trump."

"Weed-killer glyphosate, which is the active ingredient in RoundUp, has long been linked to cancers and nerve damage. But much of the earlier research has focused on looking at people that interact with it every day like farm workers.
"The new study, performed on mice, suggests even small amounts of exposure can have long-lasting effects.
"Experts found rodents who were given for about three months saw Alzheimer's-like changes to their brains which persisted for months.
"Upon dissecting the brains, the researchers saw the chemical itself had gotten into the delicate tissue of the brain, where it likely caused inflammation, which caused nerves and brain tissue to decay, leading to the changes they observed after six months.
"Patrick Pirrotte, a study author and director at City of Hope said: 'These findings highlight that many chemicals we regularly encounter, previously considered safe, may pose potential health risks.
"Foods that were found to contain glyphosate include #QuakerOatmeal, #CheezIt and #Tropicana orange juice, according to a separate analysis by Sokolove law, a personal injury and illness law firm."
