Scores of MPs have written to Cooper, demandeing action and a statement, but Cooper offers only silence.

News headlines are repeatedly using the word "withdraw" or "withdrawn" about #Mandelson's sacking. That's understandable, because it's the word used in the UK Foreign Office statement at https://www.gov.uk/government/news/fcdo-statement-hma-washington
This is probably the usual diplomatic terminology. But given the nature of the #Epstein scandal, it's horrible. The Foreign Office should have found a less suggestive alternative. #FCDO
