I just don't know how eager I'd be to identify myself as The Pooh Lover.
-
I need to go to bed but don't want to, so maybe I'll post my last few treasures.
Anyway my anti-book radicalization is now complete. I will destroy the concept of literacy.

That little prince never seems to shut the fuck up, huh
This one is way beyond my reading level, so I ran it through a translation thingy. Anyway yes I agree completely: life is just a random assortment of things that happen and your actions have no influence on anything.

I believe this one is something along the lines of "you can put on all the masks you want but your actions will always tell on you. The tree is known by its fruit." Yikes!
I suspect I know exactly what she was thinking when she shared this, and it's: pretty bleak! Sad stuff!

Shut UP, el Principito!!
(I think this one comes down to "it's not what's in your pockets that makes you great, it's what's in your heart for other people" or something. I hate it!)
-
Let's see. I think this says "my greatest treasure was, is, and always will be my family. We're not always perfect but I love them with all my heart."
This is, um, real sad! Moving on.

Get that bag, Sun Gazing, part a hundred and forty. (Also, lol, her grandsons want nothing to do with her.)

Okay, I'm sorry, it's hard to take seriously a protestation that all you want is to be surrounded by loved ones when you carpet your living AND dining rooms in WHITE. I doubt the sincerity of your desire to see your human grandchildren!

¡Mafalda!
honestly surprised at the paucity of Mafalda content on my MIL's FB, so I had to grab this one when I saw it.
Anyway, I think this comic was edited so Mafalda is saying something along the lines of "to live without reading is dangerous because you have to believe what you're told."
I enjoy how Mafalda's little classmate looks about like I'm feeling these days. those are prominent eye bags for a six-year-old.

I came home from work early because I'm feeling a little under the weather and want to rest up, but I'm not yet ready to nap. So. More of this!
My only comment on this one is an asterisk--a footnote if you will: "Be advised that you might not enjoy all the world's adjustments"

Get that bag, Sun Gazing
(Also, lol, my mother-in-law's crimes against her granddaughters specifically would fill volumes.)

LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE OF YOUR WORLDVIEW, [MOTHER-IN-LAW'S NAME REDACTED], AND THE OPPOSITE OF CHARLES SCHULZ'S WORLDVIEW AND THE OPPOSITE OF PEANUTS

I'm sorry but her most deeply-held belief is never admitting to being wrong. (It's just that and music-related moral superiority.) Never, ever, ever admit to a mistake.
So it's fun to think about who she thinks she's calling out via this fine content from "Above & Beyond Leadership Institute"

There's some specific stuff that was going on around the time she shared this one that makes it even sadder and funnier 🤡

A rich text if ever I've read one! RIP Don Common Sense.
Now, on the one hand this one definitely sounds stupider after being run through Facebook's translation feature; it's probably closer to coherent in the original Spanish. But wow, what a series of statements!
And if you're wondering if the Vive Familia page is full of fashy homophobic propaganda, you guessed correctly!

This deserves reposting at least once a year.
:welp:
(Much as with books, she is turning me against music as a concept.)
