@MovingFurniture I think #Friendica seems to be the most promising #FBalternative in #Fediverse. It has functions like events and groups, and not sign-limited.
It doesn't have a good app, but if you set up an account on Friendicia.world and log-in, the webreader works well for mobile use and you can make an "app-shortcut".And yeah, you can still have contact with everone here, from there, but with the limits of each platform.
