  1. Amie McNee is an incredible author. With her book "We Need Your Art" she inspired me to keep creating, even though an artist's life is not always easy and I had to work other jobs. Her inspiring words are the reason for my ever growing discography of electronic music: kayleighbeard.bandcamp.com/

    Love her fiction too: amiemcnee.com/

  2. Time to reread a favourite book of mine,

'Being Mortal - Aging, Illness, Medicine, and What Matters in the End'
    By Atul Gawande

Recommended reading for anyone who knows anyone who is getting older or who will be getting older themselves at some point.

  3. Finally getting around to listening to 'Van Gogh audio book, a 44 hour listen. It was one of my last choices before I cancelled my audible subscription. Now it's mostly library audio books. I couldn't easily have fit 44 hours of listening into a 21-day library borrow.

  4. What the Dickens? Our Mutual Friend (my favourite book ever) - YouTube. Haven’t watched this video yet, but saving for later. Our Mutual Friend is easily my favourite Dickens novel, and one of my absolute all time favourite novels ever. youtube.com/watch?v=HKIG2UPlfl #Dickens #CharlesDickens #Literature #VictorianLiterature #Fiction #Novels #Books #Reading #Bookstodon #Booktube #FavouriteBooks #FavoriteBooks #NineteenthCentury

  5. Molly and the Silent Miaow

One day I was trying to use the sun to get the musty smell out of a 2nd hand book I had bought when I saw that Molly had jumped up onto the chair in front of the book. I'm sure she knew what book it was. If you have read the wonderful "The Silent Miaow" translated by Paul Gallico, then you will know what I mean. If you haven't then try to find it.

  6. @jimbodie That’s a lot of #books! I used to hoard them until I was forced to move a few times in a short period of time and decided to on a cull. Now I only have my all time #FavouriteBooks. Still a couple of hundred! And yes, thanks, Jim. I agree with you, everyone should read books by #KJHeritage ♥️

Farjeon died in '65. You can read Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard (legally in the US) here: digital.library.upenn.edu/wome It's a very hard to find book. I've only ever seen one copy, which I read and reread from my childhood library and then found in a junk store on a visit back, years after I'd moved away. My copy, from the old Centre '70 library. I can reach it from where I sit at my desk; it's one of those books. #Farjeon #FavouriteBooks
