  1. Musical Interlude: Here's an old favorite. I found myself humming this while preparing for the board meeting yesterday, and it's been ringing in my head ever since. I love this song dearly.

  3. Musical Interlude: I LOVE this song. And I say it's a crime it's not better known. A CRIME, I say! This has been around for some years, as part of a semi-obscure compilation I stumbled on...but DAMN, this is a great Christmas song, one of the best I've ever come across.

"I Want an Old-Fashioned Christmas," performed by Amy Speace.

  4. You know, guys, there are plenty of songs about cities, like “New York, New York”, “Viva Las Vegas”, and “I Love Paris”; but there are NOWHERE near as many songs about any city as there are about Jerusalem. The most famous is probably “Jerusalem of Gold”, but there are MANY more! Reply with your FAVORITE song about Jerusalem. Let’s see how many we can name!

  6. What’s your #FavoriteSong and why? I know it’s a trick question, I would be surprised if you only had just one! Perhaps the one that makes you #happiest and feel you have to #dance, even if you are an old #Panda like me? Randomly picking mine, this is the happiest #song of all time: #DontStopMeNow Happy #Sunday! youtu.be/HgzGwKwLmgM

  7. Singing one of my favorite songs today, I realized I don't know all the lyrics by heart! So I wondered if this was normal or not. I know some people pay absolutely no attention to the lyrics whatsoever. What about you?

And please let me know your favorite song(s) in a reply; I'm always looking for new music to check out! #music #FavoriteSong #Lyrics #MusicPoll

  9. Ahhh my favourite flower, the #rose. I think this #photograph is so beautiful, and I also think that my husband is a very #talented man!

Roses, especially #RedRoses remind me of my Grandad Singy. He’d always buy my Gran red roses, and his beautiful gardens were always full of gorgeous roses of every colour. Sadly, we’d lost Grandad by the time we got married, but I brought him with me to the wedding with my red rose #bouquet and one of the songs in the wedding, Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller, which he used to sing to me and my Gran.

Ian couldn’t find a red rose in my dad’s garden, but he found me a #pinkrose and took this beautiful #photo for me, because he’s a wonderful #husband 🥰😍💜

  10. @BatsInLavender That’s a great cut and I’ve never listened to it beyond that opening stomp before today. “Favorite” is too terminal a decision for me (Kiss? Everybody Wants To Rule The World? Still Crazy After All These Years? Uncertain Smile?). But here’s a recent song that rocketed into my top 10, along with my explanation why: neds-fox.com/joshua/2018/05/01 #music #favoriteSong #okkervilRiver

  11. It's been a rough week. Since it's Friday I thought I'd try to get a conversation going around music. What's your favorite song? Why? Does it just have "a great beat and you can dance to it"? Is it sentimental about a time in your life? Does it speak to your soul? I want to hear it.

Mine is "Swamp Thing" by the UK band The Chameleons. The first time I heard it I was probably about 16, on a mix tape made by a friend. It comes from the 1986 album "Strange Times" which (in my opinion) is one of the best albums of the decade.

As someone with OCD, the song speaks to the way my brain feels when I'm in the depths of anxiety yet gives a sense of hope. It's a song that I still listen to often, and the imagery of the storm hits home. It's a beautiful, lush song that continues to sound relevant.

    What's yours? Tell me about it. #music #favoritesong #chameleons #80s #rock #alternative
