Well, it’s not my normal itinerary or carrier, but I think this still qualifies as a #favoriteseat

Well, it’s been a productive week at #digipro #aswfopensourcedays and #siggraph2026 , but now it’s time to finally head home.

Thanks, LA, you were swell (and not too hot!) but now its time to take my #favoriteseat and head back.

Got on my #southwest flight, in what in theory is my #favoriteseat (16A) but just like my flight last week, these have the new seats, so while it’s got “extra legroom”, it’s not like it was.

I guess this is the new normal. Bummer.

It’s an old plane, and it’s running 35 minute late, but at least they kept my #favoriteseat seat free for me:

Heading to #blender #bcon in Austin a day early to try and avoid the thunderstorms headed there. Luckily was able to get my #favoriteseat

Back home, was delighted to get my #favoriteseat on a variety of aircraft recently.

That said, I do so hate connecting flights, which is where jet lag TZ plans go to die…

Glad they kept my #favoriteseat free for me. Got lucky with two of them on this plane, as a famous guy (who is much taller than I thought) snagged the other one first.

Well, even though my flight got delayed an hour, I’m delighted to see they held my #favoriteseat for me.

Whenever I travel, I look at shoes. Most folks (in the US, at least) wear gym shoes, which I have always found surprising.

For many years, I never wore sneakers/trainers/gym shoes unless I was at the gym.

In the last decade, I’ve found a few that I liked that were a bit more low key (or fun), and put them into rotation.

But generally, I still prefer dressier shoes or boots.

Even when wearing very casual trousers…
