#FavCharacterAtoZC was the first of the REALLY difficult choices for me. A lot of good choices, but no clear obvious choice. So im splitting it.
Cattelya is my runaway favorite character from Queen's Blade. The show is a dramatic, raunchy tale of scantily clad fantasy women Fighting each other and an evil queen over a magical power and Cattelya is the cast's "heavy". By that i mean she's a kind, steady, matronly greatsword welding blacksmith with a husband and kid. Her heavyset, curvaceous MILFy design including glasses was an easy favorite, and the gigantic greatsword sealed the deal.
I watched Queen's Blade WAAAAY too young and this character imprinted on me the same way Velma did. Big thicc greatsword mom with glasses is an 80% checklist of my kinks. Cattelya is my favorite character from the show i don't wanna admit enjoying
Clark Still from King of Fighters is the other choice. Originally a headswap of Ralf Jones (my choice for R) from a 90s edition of King of Fighters, Clark has increasingly evolved into the coop collected, grappler of that duo. The cool ranch to Ralf's spicy nacho. He's got the same 80s mercenary inspiration as Ralf, with trademark shades and a hat and a single glove. He's a sturdy, unflappable grappler who has more personality than you might imagine. Since both are SNK games, he, Ralf, and Leona also make guest appearances in Metal Slug games, since he fits thematically.
He's got 0 plot significance and that makes me love him all the more. No magic bloodlines, no fate of the world plot. Just a man with a job to do. Throwing MFs. Easy pick for my King of Fighters team, since that fighting game is played with 3 person teams
Runner up: Charlie Nash (Street Fighter) and Charon (Fire Force)

@[email protected] I had one in mind I was pretty set on, and then it turned out that uhhh his first name begins with J. Fortunately there's someone else I was forgetting. Chiana! Not appearing until three quarters of the way through the first season, I fell in love with this rebel on the run from her conformist society immediately. Her makeup, her movements, her fashion, I wanted to be her so badly.
But, as cool as I thought she was, we can't really escape from being reminded that Chiana is only freshly an adult and still quite childish in a lot of ways. She sulks, she makes bad decisions (very bad decisions), she would much rather put herself first. For years I had a quote on my LiveJournal profile page, "I'm tired of adapting to you! From now on, you adapt to me." Very relatable to me from an autistic perspective, and she does get spiked with sensory overload in one of her first episodes.
Still my favourite though. Gotta love a girl in grey. #FavCharacterAtoZ, #FavCharacterC -

Cursed/blessed with the ability to tell when someone deliberately tells a lie, and equally cursed/blessed with a motormouth that can't shut up when she hears one, she solves crimes and only rarely gets the police involved.
She is a complete disaster as a person, permanently broke, lives on beer and cigarettes out of her car, is massively uneducated, but intelligent, and surprisingly logical. And despite all that, still tries to be basically kind and helpful.

Clair Aoki from Gleipnir is pretty neat. She takes her clothes off and climbs inside some guy while he is transformed into a giant stuffed animal and pilots him like some sort of meat mech. It is very strange and horny but also cool.

@ami_angelwings For #FavCharacterAtoZ #FavCharacterC I think I'll choose El Chavo del Ocho. Again, watched that show so much. As most of Latin America did. The actors themselves, having moved on to other things, mostly circus, were amazed that a show they'd done decades before was still being watched and was still so beloved.

@ami_angelwings This one I don't have to struggle with: The Doctor, Star Trek: Voyager.
Start with Robert Picardo, an amazing actor. Then, even though it's "outsider looking in at humanity" for the fourth time in a row, and even though it's Voyager, manage to develop him as a character slowly but consistently over 7 seasons. And make him sarcastic, and arrogant, and half the time he's right to be arrogant and the other half he gets humbled.
I love The Doctor.

Start with Robert Picardo, an amazing actor. Then, even though it's "outsider looking in at humanity" for the fourth time in a row, and even though it's Voyager, manage to develop him as a character slowly but consistently over 7 seasons. And make him sarcastic, and arrogant, and half the time he's right to be arrogant and the other half he gets humbled.

So I had a LOT of trouble with #FavCharacterC b/c I was trying to decide between Claire Redfield, Columbo & Cassandra Cain. I've decided to go off the board and go with...
Carrie Kelley from The Dark Knight Returns (which I enjoy, I know many people have qualms with it & I'm not uncritical but I like it), who is smart, brave, and has a lot of agency. She becomes Robin on her own, saves Batman multiple times and even breaks his orders to do so, displaying superior computer knowledge in the process. (I also love the generation gap between the two when Batman asked her where she learned to use computers because to Bruce computers are a Big Deal and she says "had to learn something in school" cuz kids grow up on computers now).
We just won't talk about the DKR sequels.

Clara Clayton. Gotta go with the double Cs from "Back to the Future III", very capable woman and school teacher. (Plus I was never that into Outlander's Claire Randall. *And picking my own character Carrie Waterson doesn’t feel right.)

Casey Jones is the perfect side character for the Ninja Turtles. He's a deceptively simple idea that shouldn't work but does because you can do just about anything with him, from a depressing rise and fall battle with alcoholism, fatherhood, or even just being so whacky he manages to out-weird the Turtles despite being just a guy with a baseball bat.

His job was to convince himself every week that it was still a good idea to send Maxwell Smart on assignments while also trying not to strangle him. Platt was very very good at doing a slow burn.
(I think this counts as a C? His real first name comes up once, but everyone calls him Chief, and it's even how he's listed in the credits.)
