#ICYMI A nonprofit offered everyone aboard #Kittitas free watermelons during a sailing from #Fauntleroy to #Vashon last week. One in the Spirit Ministries takes food donations & sometimes when they have excess, they hand it out on the ferries. Thanks for this sweet surprise! https://t.co/Frrd8l3ksP

#ICYMI, #Kitsap repairs for mechanical issues completed last night. The 124-car vessel is now operating on our #Seattle/#Bainbridge run, alongside #Tacoma. 144-car #Suquamish remains on our #Fauntleroy/#Vashon/#Southworth "Triangle" route as the #1 boat with #Cathlamet as #2.

That report found that operator error and failure to follow existing procedures led to the July 28, 2022 incident where the #Cathlamet struck offshore pilings near the #Fauntleroy ferry terminal. A separate United States Coast Guard investigation is ongoing.
