The Man, my hero.
When Publix flaked about getting #Paczkis before Fat Tuesday, he didn't let up, and kept calling all of their local stores. One finally said that they "might" have some come in on Wednesday (today.) He called, et voilà!
As with everything in our world, they are not as good as when Publix baked them fresh, but they are so very much appreciated as a once-a-year treat.

It's #FatTuesday and though I've celebrated it as #PaczkiDay (in US). But not getting any today - a break after many 10+ years.
Had stopped by the bakery on Thursday (real paczki day I've heard) with kid2 in tow - and a taped sign said cash only and it was $40/dozen 😳 (or 3.50 each!)
I normally get about 3 doz. 6 for home and 6 for lab and the other half dozens for (Polish) colleagues. -
