I updated my game back in April, and forgot to post about it here!
This is the big update. The core rules of Fate are now included. It's 99% Fate Condensed, just re-written.
I'm tempted to call it finished. The rules need lots more examples. I need a chapter on magic items. I need to include some monsters. I have some notes on running dungeons & other dangerous places, too.

i keep saying this, but it might become more of a reality with #FateRPG: my wife might be joining us for #TTRPG here tonight. it might be a matter of getting me to shut up, but i do hope she enjoys herself. my kids and i are building a humorous world. there's some serious elements, but nothing too serious. we want an escape, not the hellscape that is the US gov't right now. -
Had to end the Fate of Cthulhu campaign I was running early, today. Which sucks and is damaging to my confidence, but ultimately for the best since people were not having fun with it.
Need to work on my improv skills, and as much as I love the game Fate combat always seems to devolve into a bit of a slog? I feel like that ought not to be so and yet yet it appears to be.
On the bright side, now I have more time over the next couple of months to work on the next campaign, once the group's main game wraps up. That one is going to be Jenna Moran's Glitch RPG, though, which is daunting after the failure of this one. #FateOfCthulhu, #FateRPG, #GlitchRPG -
Tales from the Golden Dragon progress: The next update will be a big one.
Since I am trying to target my book more at newcomers, the core rules of Fate will be included.
But then I realized that I needed to include advice on writing aspects. I had bits and pieces of advice here and there, so I thought I could just put them all in one place. Editing all this stuff together made me realize it wasn't enough. The book needs more advice!

so, like actual life accomplishments:
me and my partner closed out our... 7? 8? year running #FateRPG campaign this weekend.
granted the frequency went way down as we approached the end, but it's probably been a good 75-100 sessions. we punched some space feudalists. we dissolved space pax americana. we achieved space open borders. it's been a good run.

I still don't like the character creation chapter. I think I might go back to classic phased character creation, where each player has two backstory adventures with different PCs.
It might be fun to have tables to roll on for adventure ideas.
I hate to lose the role system. Is it too much to have both phases and roles?

I finally decided to add the core Fate rules to my game in progress. Surprisingly fun to re-write rules that are familiar to me. Re-phasing and shifting focus to suit my personal style.
It's up to 96 pages now. Just under 30k words.
And it still has a desperate need for more examples.

Ich werde die kommende Woche einen One-Shot in einem #FateRpg-Hack machen. Mehr ein Playtest wie gut ich Fate in Richtung Otherscape/LitM verschieben kann von der Mechanik, alias Fate-nur-mit-Aspekten. Und werde dazu das Setting “Die geheime Welt der Katzen” verwenden. Samstagabend noch ein anderes erzählorientiertes Spiel: #FateRPG (#turboFate / #fateAccelerated) bei @HeyHoLetsFlow (Danke!) - endlich wieder einmal die Gelegenheit dazu und das in großartiger Umsetzung durch SL und Mitspielende. Ich hatte leider zwischendurch auch Müdigkeitsschübe nach einer anstrengenden Woche 😬
Auch hier tolle SL-Leistung: das noch freiere TurboFate so gut auf den Punkt zu bringen, ist in meinen Augen eine sehr gute SL-Leistung! 👍#BavariaCon #pnpde

Does anyone know a good resource for getting a bit of a feel for Edinburgh or Auckland in a short period of time? I am running a Fate of Cthulhu RPG campaign and the players will be visiting at least one of those cities in the next week or two. I would like to make the experience a bit more vivid than what I would pick up from reading their articles on Wikipedia.

Here is my game in progress: Tales from the Golden Dragon. It's deliberately generic take on high fantasy, using Fate Condensed.

Working on the setting chapter for Tales of the Golden Dragon. I meant for it to be a quick outline, to let the player flesh out the details on their own, but it's up to 3000 words and I'm not done yet. Plus another 1000+ in a different document.
This is the stuff I'm most excited about. This is where it becomes my game, not just a set of rules.

Of course currently we're prepping to run Fate of Cthulhu, where the party will be delving into Arkham and Miskatonic University to root out a hacker whose publication of rituals to control ghouls will ultimately doom humanity.
Just have to sort out who and what else they might encounter along the way #FateOfCthulhu #FateRPG
