Found out that Chen Zheyuan (he recently starred in #FatedHearts) adopted his canine costar from The White Olive Tree. The crew had rented the dog from a pet store and returned it after filming. When Zheyuan found out the dog was living in bad conditions he adopted it. Now he brings it to work with him and doggo, now called Azan, lives a spoiled life being petted and fawned over by China's most popular actors at Hengdian! 😆
Now, besides Xiao Wai (Liu Xueyi's dog) I am obsessed with Azan 😆

Chen Zheyuan #FatedHearts came to Malaysia and i keep thinking: isn't he hot? Like yes I know he's hot, but I mean hot *hot*. A suit in this weather!

“Fated Hearts” has a plot that allows its characters agency hence giving them motivations that have nuance. This drama is remarkable in that so many of the side characters are cast extremely well.
The male ensemble cast was brilliant; each very different in their aura but intertwining in the plot in a way that felt real.
The female characters were power-hungry but weak or seemingly unable to make sensible life choices but who learned the hard way.

Just finished “Fated Hearts” 🌸 with Li Qin and Chen Zheyuan. This is the best drama I’ve watched all year and I almost didn’t watch it. I was a little unsure about Li Qin’s nuance, but she worked really well as part of a couple and as part of an ensemble. Chen Zheyuan has truly developed into a very versatile actor.

I tried really hard to resist rewatching Fated Hearts but my heart can't let go 🥲. I rarely ever rewatch dramas. If I do it's because I really adored it or found it very satisfying. I only did this for A Moment But Forever, Are You the One and Blood of Youth.

The soliloquies the actors get to do in #fatedhearts are riveting. They’re perfect examples of telling a story instead of showing us a story. #cdrama

I still can't get over this drama. I am going to do a rare thing for me - rewatch it all over again 😆
Also, cos most of the current drama doesn't have the same addictiveness or intensity.

A big duh moment when I realised this is Li Qin, playing a Ughyr princess in Ruyi's Love in the Palace.
Li Qin is currently starring as Yu Xiao in Fated Hearts.

Am watching episode 5 of “Fated Hearts” and it is excellent and very tense 🌸 Although fairly predictable, it was a heart-fluttering scene when Feng Suige jumps on the boat to save Fu Yixiao and the small boy. He is clearly not as cold as he tries to portay himself as.
Chen Zheyuan is also very statuesque 😄

@liztai Just watching episode 2 where Feng Suige forces his way into the imperial city. Wow! That was tense. Well played by his many generals and soldiers and especially Chen Zheyuan who exudes underplayed menace that explodes in a strangle hold.

Have started watching “Fated Hearts” with Chen Zheyuan and Li Qin 🌸 It is a enemies-to-lovers drama and the opening is certainly quite brutal. Chen Zheyuan is particularly good because his soft looks turn icy cold in an instant. This looks very promising!

What makes a good female general? It's not really the physicality tho that's a good bonus. Rather, it's in the attitude. This summer we had three female generals grace the #Cdrama screens and Li Qin's is the best one 😊
