My favourite writer strikes again! Fate Chooses You is fantastic. Ep 6 now and I can't stop watching. What I find amusing is the lead actress is the unhinged female villain in Mysterious Lotus Casebook but here, she looks so honourable and goody two shoes. Mark of a good actress.
Now Ren Jialun fans keeps telling me he's a good actor. I've seen Under the Power and I swear he has the same expressions here. Like, no expressions. I get that you are stoic and all, but micro expressions are a thing, friend.
Still, it's not bad enough to be distracting. Passable.
The story wins the day.
