Anyone know who to contact at #fastly about their #FastForward program?

I applied a LONG time ago but didn't have a chance to actually do anything so I reapplied on 2026-08-31 and haven't heard anything back yet.

Maybe I just need to be more patient, but I don't want to promote this at all until it's not tied to my personal credit card 😅

@csgraves @hbons this reminds me of all the people that complain that we still use source forge for a cdn... I finally went and set up #fastly and applied to their fast forward program for open source projects and haven't heard anything yet. It's been a bit over 2 weeks now 😮‍💨

Good grief, #Fastly is now seemingly returning 403s from all their website properties if your origin IP4 address is not on an approved list of source prefixes for clients. At least access to them via Tor still works.

The well-meaning intention to limit undesirable bots and scrapers is increasingly breaking the web for everyone.

I was trying to point out why
the #webres6 testing does not pick them up due to #IPv6-only-strict preset of the testing resolver.
As confirmed by Philipp.

To add, one needs a #legacyip resolver for #fastly until this is fixed.
Tooling like #webres6 helps finding those issues.

#Fastly already updated their nameservers to have AAAA records and are reachable via #IPv6 #RFC10001 🚀
Unfortunately they forgot to add glue records thus websites like @gnome or @fastlydevs @devs are still reported as not #IPv6ready with #webres6

I’m guessing their ( #Fastly) CDN is objecting to my username being an Addy.io address, and the 429 errors are coming from Fastly rather than from the Bugzilla servers. I’ve run into this problem with #Akamai but never (before) with Fastly.

I’ve reported the problem to #Mozilla many times and they’ve done nothing.

Every time I run into this it’s because I’m trying to help make #Firefox or #Thunderbird better by contributing to identifying bugs and fixes for them.

This pisses me off.

We have been hit by major traffic from a malicious crawler obfuscating its IPs and User Agents with rotating residential proxies. In the past, this caused outages as frequently as every 8hrs.

Earlier this year we were able to increase protection with #Fastly's dynamic challenge interstitial, but this malicious service can now bypass it.

We have increased protection, but unfortunately users will see captchas.

We will seek to improve user experience while still blocking this bad actor.
