Absolutely. With hindsight, the 80s was a very strange and quite terrifying time to be growing up. The #IronCurtain splitting Europe in two, frequent footage of #CheckpointCharlie and nuclear missile launchers on tv news. On the outside of the local municipal swimming pool(!), a sign showing #fallout circles rippling out from #Faslane, to remind you just how dead you would be if/when it was targeted. ☢️On the other hand, we got #99LuftBallons… 🥰
