From a real life perspective (think of the bracket of what you wear on your day to day to what you wear when you go out - ignoring what you wear to work for this conversation), I love the concept of intentional wear.

Intentional Wear being a conscious choice of a holistic style originating from design, aesthetics, and expression and constrained by things like time, budget, availability of materials, etc.

For me, my "fashion" choices are extremely limited. I wear inexpensive clothes that very specifically "Dont Look Bad" but look clean and feel comfortable while at home. I have limited to no options on going out - but if pressed I have my "business professional" outfit that I can wear. Soul sucking and meant to not stand out.

I hate both of those brackets, hahaha! 😂😭

The artworks he was reminded of were Ophelia by John Everett Millais because of the lush flowers and plants and Pandora by John William Waterhouse because of the dress. We tried out some poses inspired by some of Waterhouse's paintings and chose one where I'm looking wistfully at the sky. Here is a series of other contenders:

It had been gloomy all day and had stopped drizzling just long enough to take photos for the season announcement. I wanted to take the pictures outside in nature wearing a vintage dress that I love by Jewish designer Max Azria and shoes by Vivienne Westwood. I'm not the most visual person, but my husband has “the eye”, and immediately knew where and how I should stand and told me what artworks my dress and the location reminded him of.

'Get Emilie!'

This request, or something to that effect, was the final words spoken by Gustav Klimt before he passed from this world during the influenza epidemic of 1918. A call for his companian of over 20 years - a friendship that inspired them both but remained shrouded in mystery for the rest of the world

Klimt met Emilie Fröge when his brother married her sister in 1891. She was 18 years old and he was in his 30s but over the years their relationship matured into one that was intellectually and emotionally charged, rather than one based on the physical.

Emilie was a free spirited and talented seamstress creating the 'reform dress' - a loose fitted garment intended to free women’s bodies from the traditionally restrictive corset which hindered them from fully participating in society. Klimt for his oart would often paint his models wearing these designs..

Although Klimt wrote over 400 letters and cards to his companion there is no evidence of a more physically intimate relationship. Klimt never addresses her in romantic terms. Neither ever married but their bond as a couple was, without doubt, an inspiration for both.
