I guess I'll participate in this because this week's theme is #FarFromEarth (space game music) and I want to share a great theme from a game that I like but many people don't: Mass Effect Andromeda (aka Skies of Arcadia in space aka anime Xenoblade Chronicles X which in itself is anime Mass Effect). Regardless of what you think of the game, the soundtrack by John Paesano is gorgeous and the opening theme has a very TV show feel to it.

For this week's #vgmwednesday theme #FarFromEarth - I think Doomsday Zone from Sonic & Knuckles is pretty appropriate.
I believe it's the first mainline Sonic game with an optional level/boss fight, since you only get here if you collect all the Chaos emeralds. First time I beat the game with all the emeralds I was blown away that there was a whole extra stage.
Plus the excitement of falling from space as you fight Robotnik and constantly fighting your decreasing ring counter. So good! cc @[email protected]

Oh it’s #VGMWednesday! Today’s theme is #FarFromEarth so I can only suggest the soundtrack to FTL: Faster Than Light. A brilliant game and the soundtrack was the perfect ambient music for writing essays during university.

So, for @miona #VGMWednesday around the #FarFromEarth theme, the choice was tought, as being a huge SF nerd, I've played a LOT of space-themed games.
My choice today is bringing us back to 1999 with a track from a game that, while I got it quite a few year after its release and barely played it, has very much marked me when, as a kid, I saw the walkthrough on French video game TV channel GameOne.
The visuals were among the most incredible of their time, with fantastic designs, a very advanced AI system, and it even had movie-tier soundtrack, which wasn't that common back then. Like Omikron: The Nomad Soul, another amazing SF game of the same year, it wasn't yet a 3D open-world game, but it was very much the early stages with big open levels full of simulated life.
I'm of course talking about Outcast, and the music is the theme of Shamazaar, the first real region of the game after the tutorial one.
