Some people want to believe the far right is about hate. But I have maintained this not the case for a long time: The hate is only a tool, not the core.
Hate functions as an enabler of an ultra-strong group #identity. It is the wedge that pushes people into one unified hierarchy of violence under one leader.
The unity is the point, hate only carries the water.

However, #ReformUK confirmed on Wednesday that “Councillor Menday has been suspended from Reform UK pending investigation after he failed to declare #socialmedia posts which have brought the party into disrepute.
“Reform UK does not support such comments.”
The suspension comes as several other of the party’s newly #elected councillors have left, after revelations regarding highly disturbing social media posts."

Aanstaande zaterdag 16 mei organiseert ‘Nationaal Protest’ in meerdere steden demonstraties tegen de opvang van vluchtelingen, ook in Nijmegen. Daar zetten wij een krachtig en positief geluid tegenover.
Wij komen massaal samen om te laten zien waar Nijmegen echt voor staat: solidariteit, menselijkheid, verbondenheid en gastvrijheid. Dit doen we door met een brede coalitie van ruim 40 organisaties een Block Party te organiseren!
We laten cultuur leven en dat gaan we laten zien:
🥁 Neem mee waar je trots op bent zoals een instrument, gedicht of lied
🥘 Neem een lekker hapje mee om te delen
💃 Draag kledij waar je trots op bent
💪 Neem al je vrienden, familie, kennissen, buurtgenoten en je juf mee
🧺 Neem verder vooral kleedjes, flyers en andere dingen mee om je cultuur te delen

To give immigration in NZ context:
Withholding just one full time GP from NZ means that about 1500 Kiwis lose healthcare continuity and are probably subjected to random, less familiar, corporatised services. That definitely includes aged people AND young people with multiple complicated conditions and high need for continuity prescribing medications to avoid health crises.
This is only one area where anti-immigration rhetoric totally shafts Kiwis in day to day life.
The far right use of it as a kicking ball is heavily intertwined with Disaster Capitalism - often overseas ultra-wealth profiting from causing chaos and downgrades of quality of life, at far distance. And of course, greedy, power-seeking puppets will always dress it up as 'common sense' to get publics to harm themselves, as long as backdoor funding continues.
