Lately I have been thinking of all of the ways to make #fanvideos . There are many styles.
First there are multifandom ones. Those often are linked by a theme such as this one by Felicity Queen called our last moments.
It shows dramatic death scenes in C and Kdramas. The presence of recurring tropes makes this possible.

Some problems with making them is the large number of sources you must gather, and the difference in image quality, but it can be quite powerful.
I just found a new #vidder.
I use open source vidding software, so I often look around to see the newest bells and whistles on other people's #fanvideos and try to figure out how to copy them.
This was has two major features. Words that go behind the characters. This is some kind of masking. The next is the sparkly fingertips. Cool.
#10Dance videos are something I will probably boost for the Snowflake challenge, so happy to have found this.

Although they have changed their workflow to be more like PP with the split / paired audio and video tracks that often annoy me, it is still pretty simple to understand and use.
Load a clip or clips in the program and you can cut them, fade them, add effects, transitions, and titles which is most of what I need it for.
I use it to make #fanvideos of TV shows and movies.
Here is the first fanvid I made with it 13 years ago.
