I really liked the cdrama LOVE FOR YOU which was about two children raised as siblings who are basically orphaned and have to fend for themselves as she graduates from high school.
The story begins when they reunite after many years apart.
I made a fanvideo. The video shows how they try to find out what they are to each other after so long apart.

It's cool how a person can take up so much real estate in another person's mind.

You know what you need to be a good #vidder?
A good memory, and a lot of Disk space.
I am totally impressed with the number of different properties she had to go through to make this #fanvid.
The major technique is parallelism. The steps found in many romances that can be compared and shown side by side.
We can identify the Cinderella story, the romantic glance, the first touches, the dance.

I find that I remember videos better when they chose a unique song that I haven't heard in another #fanvidObsessive romances are a common source of story / romance vids because they have many dramatic scenes and thus don't need too much explanation.
The B couple from Pursuit of Jade involved a romance with a crazy guy which made many interesting scenes. They linked them together with color grading.

So I just uploaded my latest video to youtube. I sped up the music, which did not stop them from recognizing it, but the video source didn't get marked yet.
The video is of Glory (2025) #cdrama
The female lead picks up an Imperial inspector who lost his memory, and although he gets it back and leaves her at the altar, and she gets engaged to two other men, she only ever sleeps with this one guy. I tried to look up songs about cuccolds, but I do not recommend it.

The spy family story works because it shows the triumph of love over violence and politics.
Set in a cold war world where mythical countries train spies and assassins. Where they experiment on dogs and babies. A master spy must assemble a family to get close to an elusive mark, but in the end, their fake family becomes real.
The fighting is cool to watch, but the affection is what brings you back.

After rewatching #Goblin also known as Guardian, the Lonely and Great God I made a #fanvid!

Pick a song to use for the video. Look at the words.
Pretext -
What's the purpose? Is there a theme for the video. Is it humorous or romantic or serious. Is it a couple vid? etc.
Context
How does this fit among other videos.
Show overview or focused? -
Saw the first #fanvid ( #edit ) for the #cdrama Dream within a dream. AvenueX did it. She had been looking for a show that didn't annoy her before the ending, and though that is a low bar, it was enough to get her to do one for this drama.

And I love this as a writing trope, because you have all these angles.The person had a relationship with the dead person, but he sees the person who is alive and thinks of what he could have done different, but the young person is different and will wonder why the older person is so attracted to him, and whether he sees him at all. In a previous post I said that I found Shinee searching for Sherlock. Well, I just found an #untamed #fanvid called Icarus with music by Bastille.
I learned of this song because I got a comment on AO3 from someone who had read my Sherlock fan story To Mend Icarus, and she said she decided to read it because she was so into this song, so random associations and whims can really enrich your life. 8)
