Me: Oh I couldn't' possibly post this 4k word fanfic to AO3 because it's only the middle section of three acts and not resolving it wouldn't be fair to the reader ..
Also me: Literally reads a 500 word fic where the protagonist does nothing, but go shopping for groceries and mulls over what to buy another character.

I made it through another "I don't know what I'm doing!!!" crisis with my writing project and now I'm in the "this is amazing I love all of this" phase. Awwww.
The only downside is that the outline has sprouted a number of new scenes and subplots. Looks like I'm writing another book-length fanfic. That's... Two sort-of-finished vs two drafts, now? Ahahaha help.#writing #amwriting #fanfic #fanficWriting

A movie fusion, I thought, what a great idea! I have a premade plot, it can't be that long because there's only so many scenes, perfect!
Well. 🤡 12k rough draft maybe a 10th way in, 25k total WIP file, and the bastard has spawned six more scenes because OF COURSE it did. They're not in the movie, but they're necessary for the character arcs, alright?

I love getting comments. I do not love trying to reply to someone who's comment is just "nice!" or a string of emoji.
I don't blame anybody! We're both products of the same discourse, where writers would implore readers to write comments, ANY comments, and then readers would say they expected replies. And I definitely prefer these over some asshole tearing my fic apart.
But good god, is this hard.
