I think a STUDY should be made of the link between Jung symbolism and #fanfiction, and how Fanfic #writers tap into the collective unconscious in a instinctive way: raw archetypes that commercial books and movies 'sanitize' by removing the personality of the people who write them.

#Fanfiction writer problems:
When you watch a film and have an idea for a fanfiction about what happens after the open ending of it, but the film is 11 years old and there are only 3 (!) fanfics about it on Archive Of Our Own. 😅
So I guess nobody is going to read my fanfic, if I write it.And yes, I know fanfiction writers mostly write fanfics for themselves and then sometimes share them. But personally, I would like to actually have a few people read my fanfics.

Media franchises attract fandoms, and many get their fair share of character 'shipping (especially of the attractive characters).
Soccer also attracts huge fandoms... but I don't think I've ever seen or heard of "soccer slash" (even of the attractive players).

I had a brilliant idea for a Skyrim x Witcher crossover story, and I just have to write it. I'm 1500 words in for the first chapter.
Edit: I did the thing. The first chapter is live on my account, and it's just over 2k words. I'm really happy with the setup and the start of things.

Being too lazy to catch up on the events of The Boys, I asked Gemini for a plotline summary. It then proceeded to give me an entertaining but inaccurate reconstruction of the end of Soldier Boy at the hands of...Stan Edgar. When I pointed out the hallucination, it called it "fan fiction."
But I was entertained.
