Spent Saturday and Sunday with my brother milling white ash into the parts needed for a new staircase. It’s a full-family project as the ash came from my wife’s family bush lot. The stairs are for our new home on the property where my wife’s grandparents lived from the 1940s on. My children are the fourth generation to have called it home.

I would also advise downloading any photos and important records as well. Making people pay just to preserve their trees is extortion, imho. I have links to Windows software, but if anyone knows of a free Mac OS GEDCOM editor, please let me know. Most of the Mac ones seem to be paid software.

Returned to my wife’s ancestry today after a few new DNA matches to a line with very few. However it seems each match has thought Eliza & Elizabeth were same person. Both missed the 1851 census when both were present for the only time, in 1861 they were working as servants in separate locations. So we have mixed up lines, but appears Elizabeth never married, whilst Eliza married & moved to New Zealand where one of the matches lives. #Genealogy #DNA #familytrees

I don’t find that easy either. For ages I assumed that the tree ‘owner’ was always on the tree, but then found sometimes - they aren’t. I only twigged that when I realised people often had built more than one tree, some of which might be for in-law families, or perhaps for friends. Good luck, and do post the answer if you find out

Chapman, Jr. He was born and died in Pennsylvania, but I see so many leads and hints for a George Chapman in Australia. My George Sr. was born in Scotland and died in PA, USA. Neither are a match to your William George, but are close enough for trouble!
