3 yo Naeem, Neveen's youngest child fell today and split open his chin. 5 stitches later, he needs an antibiotic. Neveen has only received about $50 for a family of 6 to live on in the last 10 days. Prices are very high. Naeem has struggled with so many health problems through this war, including having his skull fractured twice in the same spot on two separate occasions of bombing. He's only 3 years old.

Today I learned that the Journal of Family Practice is ending. Its last editor died recently of a glioma. He was a mentor, teacher and friend of mine.

I wonder how long the specialty of Family Medicine (GP in UK terms) will survive. We did best in rural America and rural America is in very bad shape.
