What a wonderful partnership between The Headstone Project SA and a school in South Australia!
Around 2,500 WWI veterans were buried in unmarked graves in South Australia. Through this partnership, students research these graves so that the deceased veterans can be properly recognised.

My late Uncle Georgie (who'd now be about 95yo), went off to work on a pearling lugger (on Thursday Island?) in the 1940s or early 50s. He painted the back of a couple of pearl shells and sent them home to his mum (my grandma). We thought they were lost long ago (last seen in the late 70s) but i found them when we moved here.
