Oh gosh - I’m tired - again 😬.
I left home just before 10am this morning & didn’t get home until nearly 5pm feeling rather jaded! I’m happy my dinner is leftovers because I can’t be bothered much tonight.
It has been a really good day but apologies to my grandkids, I’m totally over kid chaos for a week at least. They weren’t naughty, they were kids - but it was chaotic from the youngest of the young.
I feel 😳🤪.
You know what though - they’re my grandkids, I love them to pieces & would do it all again in a heartbeat - just not for a week or so 😂🤣. #FamilyDay #Birthdays

Good morning Fedi friends. It was 6c again when I woke up this morning after a near 8 hour sleep, boy I was tired last night & even though I tried to read when I went to bed I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Still, I was up at 6am as usual & while I’d been expecting rain, I heard nothing. It’s going to be a chilly day, only reaching 12c. Just looking outside & it seems it is raining, but quietly & softly, that real good soaking rain. I’d be happy if it stays like that.
I will be out most of today from about 10am onwards. I’ll be visiting my sister first & it’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen her due to being in Melbourne with my NZ friend & off house sitting etc. so I’m looking forward to it & have quite a collection of new novels to keep her happy & probably a whole lot to pick up to deposit in the street libraries.
After that I’m heading to my daughters place where we will all head down to Barnawartha for a family celebration of my granddaughters 8th birthday which was on Friday & mine mid last week. Bbq lunch there under the back porch & kid chaos.

3pm on a long weekend Monday and my kid is whining because she's bored and has nothing to do.
Going to school and seeing all your friends kinda sounds good about now huh? HUH?
I swear if she wakes up tomorrow morning crying about not wanting to go to school, I will pull out what little hair I have left

I just got completely destroyed by my kid's Pokemon Lego set. The box says "8+" but it's not even meant for 45+.
The pieces were all too similar and so small that only the smallest of fingers could pick up and snap together.
You accidentally use a 4pc at the beginning but realize you needed that 1 piece at the end so you have to tear the thing down and start again!
AHHHHHH
Anyway. Happy Family Day... *grumble* LOL

I had so many plans today. I was going to go do groceries, get some stuff from canadian tire & Rona.. but apparently everything is closed due to family day. so I guess it's fully reclined, blanket on legs and cat on blanket kindda day today.

Most of us are celebrating a long weekend because of #FamilyDay, except Quebec and Newfoundland Labrador. Those two provinces will answer the phones while the rest of Canada is off gallivanting across the country. Family Day was first introduced by Don Getty, Premier of Alberta in 1990. Critics pointed out that he launched the new holiday to distract voters from the fact his son was in trouble with the law, accused of selling cocaine to an undercover narc in an Edmonton motel room. Whatever... we now get a break between January 1st and the May 24 long weekend.
It's a good day to look back on the past 30 years of marriage and family trends. Common-law unions are up while traditional marriages are down. Divorces, particularly among younger couples, has decreased, and we have more single parents today. There is no available data on the impact of Family Day on teenage sons selling illegal drugs.#CanadaIsAwesome #Parents
