When we got stranded first time, we were disappointed to try AAA’s promise of #RoadsideService for bicycles, only to experience—after long hold times and long waits— local AAA towing contractor had “no bike rack, and no way to haul a bike." Sheesh! What we did next time, with excellent results (unlike AAA) was call our ex, who was happy to help immediately. Today's #CreatureFeatures lineup I have Creepshow 1982, Creepshow 2 1987 & I found the Creepshow Holiday special 2020 on Shudder + I found on demand Basket case 1982 & on Tubi Basket case 2 1990 & Basket case 3 1992. I normally do the Basket case movies for my #FamilyBonds marathon but I didn't have access to all 3 movies in July & I haven't seen all 3 movies since I had them all recorded on a VHS tape back before 2008. #MyHorrorfest #Horror #StephenKing #Creepshow #Basketcase

I normally do the Texas chainsaw massacre movies in July when I do my #FamilyBonds marathon but I finally found a copy of the 1st movie last week (& for under $8) so I tossed it into the #Killers lineup. I also found on Tubi Eaten alive 1976 & Don't go in the house 1980 (I remember seeing this 1 at the drive-in) then on Prime I found Dressed to kill 1980 & on Shudder something I hadn't seen before Graduation day 1981 that was just meh! #MyHorrorfest #HorrorMovies #Horror #TCM

Well it's gonna be hotter than hell again today but I got a nice stack of #FuckedUpFamilies movies to watch while I melt the day away. I have the 2 Hills of eyes from 2006/07 (I wish I had the original 2 too), the 2 Silent hills, You're next & Mama. We're doing our very best to try to stay cool, I even tried to get Couch potato buddy to lay next to a sock full of cold beans that I pulled out of the freezer but she won't have it! The blinds & curtains are drawn closed so we're sitting in the dark & I've got a John Candy double feature on the TV, Uncle Buck & the Great outdoors & after that there's Steel Magnolia & People under the stairs. So far I found 2 inspirations to paint from my #FamilyBonds marathon but I'll wait for a few more ideas before I paint them. I'm currently watching a Christmas story trilogy (only have 2 of the 3 movies but I have the 3rd movie saved on the PVR since Christmas) so I thought I'd share the painting I did for them last year. I don't watch Christmas movies at Christmas time anymore unless the Creature Features, I get too depress otherwise. #AmateurArtist #Art

July is when I do my #FamilyBonds marathon & it reminds me of visiting with family when I cared to see my own relations. It's kind of like a family reunion movie staycation. 😆 This week I've spent time hanging with gang at the Carnivale, visiting with the Marches, Bates, Munsters, Sawyers & the Corleones (still have another day with them). This weekend I get some time with my witches from Eastwick, the McDunnoughs, the Torrances & start a few weeks stretch hanging with the Tellers.
