CW: Spoilery Fallout S02E04
Wow, do końca zaorali zachodnie wybrzeże.
Retrospekcje sprzed 2077 to 1/3 serialu. Po co?
[Jesteś uzależniony od Wygrzewu]
Ale hej, widoczki ładne i na napisy końcowe dali utwór z gry.

I conducted an interview with the creator of the "Okey Dokey" meme playing homage to KC Green's "This is Fine" viral sensation!

The most relatable moment in a show.

Now I want to watch every analysis video created so far. 😅 I need more Fallout Lore!

Just finished it. I began to like it with the fourth episode. And I have to say that I really like it as a whole.
It gets much less gory after the first episodes, so this part gladly wasn't an issue anymore.

Fallout - Prime Video

I think the Fallout TV show is the first thing Bethesda have been involved in that didn't crash halfway through.
-
Finished the first season of Fallout, and as a longtime fan of most of the games I enjoyed it.
Of course the show is packed with easter eggs, and one I haven't seen mentioned in online lists yet is that the password for the cold fusion device is the release date for the original Fallout 1!

CW: Fallout TV - Episode 2
Well, that's a dick move, Mr. Scientist man, to kill yourself before you can give exposition!
Puppy no! He's using you to find the guy! Probably!
Things I liked were most of it but I can't do super bad conversations so this will be tough at times
Love Filly as a set? Really appealing. Maximus needs to learn not to just step in and assess first but that's BoS for you
Chainknife fuck yeah cool shit. Love the call back to Okie Dokie too.

I love the little nods to the computer game in Fallout TV show. Like the hacking, amongst other things.

CW: Minor Fallout series / FO 1 spoilers
Another thing that I find weird is the location of Vaults 31-33.
They are located at the Santa Monica Pier and their entrance (at least vault 33's) is not particularly hidden. How did they not get ravaged by the Master's army during Fallout 1? They are right in his backyard.
Same for Vault 4, also located in LA.
-
CW: Minor Fallout series episode 8 / Silo spoilers
A thing that bugged me though is parts of the Vault 31-32-33 subplot, that seems to come straight out of the Silo trilogy: we have several vaults in the same place, with one that consists of cryogenized pre-war people destined to control the others.
Add to that the fact that Vault Tec are now the ones that started the war.

CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers
I have seen people complain about a couple changes:
- it seems like they merged Shady Sands and the Boneyard. It kinda makes sense in a TV adaptation as it limits travel. And it's not like FO 1/2 geography made much sense in the first place.
- they mixed up their chronology a bit, moving the events of New Vegas a few years earlier... I've honestly seen worse in historical shows. -
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers
So, now that I have watched the whole season: I quite enjoyed it. The cast is talented, the costumes and decors are mostly good (a bit of repetition though, it feels like we cross the same ruined village in the desert over and over) and the music, is well, The Ink Spots, so there was no way to fail there.
The dark humour is on point for the series too.
I quite enjoyed most of the subplots too (at least in the end)
-
After the second episode: I still don't like it. It's way too brutal in an absolutely pointless way. Also the animation quality is terrible. 😅
But it's Fallout and I love Fallout. Also I want to know how the story progresses.
-
Just started the new Fallout series.
It's way too brutal and splattery, even for the Fallout franchise. I have to admit that it's too much for me and I just finished playing Dead Island 2…
But the music, all the elements from the game, everything from the Fallout franchise just makes me happy.
There are many things I could critique after the first episode, but I try to focus on the things that make me happy instead of kust being a grumpy old gamer that wanted just a screen cap from a Fallout games like it seems to be usual today.
I'm curious how the series will progress and just hope the gore level is dialed down a lot for the next episodes.

CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - episode 6
Huh, the "A man and his dog" poster in Cooper's home, nice reference to "A boy and his dog", one of the inspirations for Fallout in the first place.

CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - episode 3
Maybe you'll think of me

CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - episode 3
Ok why is she carrying the goddamn head by the hair instead of inside the medecine bag she left with the body?
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - episode 2
OK episode 2 has Dogmeat, an epic shootout and not one but two songs by The Inkspots so I'm forgiving the fact that every settlement in Bethesda's Fallout must look like a rip-off of Junktown.

CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - Vault 33
Oh I nearly forgot, but the vault opening scene and the outskirts of it are everything that I expected of it :)
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - BoS
I like what we see about the social structure of the Brotherhood of Steel. For now it mostly seems on track with the lore.
I feared that the armours would look ridiculous, but while I am not entirely happy with them, they are fine. Adapting them for live action was a challenge anyway.
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - Raiders
I don't understand the goal of the raiders here.
They take over the vault, killing a bunch of people and capturing a dozen, but then relinquish control over the vault (instead of taking over) and free all the hostages except the overseer? That makes no sense.
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - Vault 33
There seems to be an inconsistency between the Overseer's speech during the wedding and the fact that he recognises the raider leader during the attack...
Of course he could be lying to his people about his knowledge of the outside world, but IIRC she gives him her real name when the vaults join...
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - Vault 33
The two vaults are also far too small, seemingly sized for a few dozen inhabitants each.
As far as I can tell, there are only 26 inhabitants in Vault 33 after the attack.
The vaults in the game are also quite small, but it is implied that they house about 1000 inhabitants, and while having places displayed smaller than they are works in a video game, it doesn't in a live show.
-
CW: Minor Fallout series spoilers - Vault 33
I really liked the idea of having two (or more ? I think the father said he was from Vault 31) vaults interconnected via tunnels...
But I wish they were further away from each other because here, having them a short walk away, it makes no sense that people in Vault 33 didn't notice the issues in Vault 32.
-
The sharpshooter doing cowboy shows at kids birthday is also exactly the kind of Americana that is on brand for Fallout, so nice touch here.
-
I found the opening scene quite powerful, and overall it works very well, but I have a problem with the technology displayed.
I see 1950s TVs, radios, cars... Not 2070s tech with a retro 1950s vibe.
