Damn I wish I had gotten around to this sooner. This was amazing. Well worth all the setup to watch Scarlet start punching the living shit out of people.

Oh this is going to be a must watch this season isn't it. It's so ridiculous and glorious.

Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right Episode 1 Impressions

This is adorable, and pretty funny. Ishikawa is just too cute.

I didn't laugh out loud, but I was chuckling constantly and just smiling a lot while watching it.

I love shows like this. Always feel like I can just relax and enjoy, while turning my brain off.

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Episode 1 Impressions

The show looks great, and the character designs pop. But the MC is kind of boring me, and monologues too much like I'm reading the light novel instead of watching the anime.

This show feels like it's trying to hard to be deep for an episode 1. Which is not working for me when the MC feels like such a Chad. I did laugh when he got called a manslut.

I'll be honest, I was ready to drop this at episode 1, but intrigued by the ending of the episode... And I don't mean the tourism promo at the end.

Dusk Beyond the End of the World Episode 0 Impressions

Yeah not feeling the portrayal of AI here. Not saying I dislike anime with AI and androids, but damn did this first episode feel like some propaganda.

I don't know how the main series will go, but I'm passing on this one.

My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's Episode 1 Impressions

I've read the light novels, so I've been looking forward to this series.

I got to say I was surprised by how visually striking this show is for an isekai adaptation. It looks really damn good from the characters to the backgrounds.

Episode 1 is a good setup for the MC and that something more is going on in the kingdom his class gets sent to. I look forward to seeing how this adaptation progresses. Definitely watching weekly.

A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace Episode 1 Impressions

Ended up tossing episode 1 of this on by chance, and I'm a bit conflicted. The show jumps back and forth between cute interactions with the characters to downright frustrating moments, especially with Futami.

The show spends way too much time on Futami's delusions and anxiety at times. The show manages to get the point across, then proceeds to ram it down our throats just in case we didn't get it.

I'll probably check out another episode or 2 because I do genuinely like the characters overall.

Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator Episode 1 Impressions

I was excited for this one, as I've been wanting to check out the manga for a long time and just haven't for some reason. The family dynamic of Rovel, Origin, and Ellen is super adorable.

I love how this show expanded upon the initial story setup as the episode progressed.

Overall this was super fun and cute. I love the humor for the most part. The fat and ugly jokes of the dad's ex at the end weren't necessary at all, especially since they already set her up to be a horrible person.

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! Episode 1 Impressions

Feel the same way I do about this first episode as I do the manga. It's kind of just mediocre AF.

I kind of stopped reading the manga, and hoped the anime might do something to keep me watching. Yet I found myself not caring much.

I'll tack this up as a drop, or a possible series to watch in the background while I do something else.

Hands off: Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun Episode 1 Impressions

First off the character designs are good, but the animation is skimped on a lot, which is standard for ecchi shows like this nowadays.

Surprisingly this is one of the better ecchi comedies as of late. That doesn't mean it's good per se, but it's more watchable than some others from the past year.

It's only 12 minutes an episode, so maybe I keep up with it. We'll see how a couple more episodes go.

Mechanical Marie Episode 1 Impressions

This is actually a pretty fun premise. It's making me chuckle and Marie is adorable.

Buuuuuuuuut, there are claims of use of AI in the "hand drawn" stills. She seems to have 2 left hands in one image. With AI drawing easy accusations even when it isn't used, it's tough to tell.

Maybe the artist truly fucked up and just drew the one hand badly.. I'll check out a couple more episodes to see. I did enjoy it regardless of the controversial stills.

The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest Episode 1 Impressions

Pretty standard fare for someone being banished from a party/job. It's not doing anything to really stand out.

The MC, Alec, is kind of boring. I do like that he knows he is powerful, and isn't some clueless dolt in that regard.

All the other characters so far don't stand out either. The villains have crappy attitudes and prejudices, the friend is bubbly.

I'll give this show another episode or 2, but doubt I'll watch this weekly.

My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me! Episode 1 Impressions

I thought the girls in the show so far are cute, but I worry Iroha will get annoying if she continues on like she was in this first episode. They need to mellow out her teasing a bit.

The whole setup with the fake boyfriend thing isn't all that interesting, but the characters have a chance to save it.

We'll see how this goes after a couple more episodes.

Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota Episode 1 Impressions

Honestly I was expecting this to be really cute and funny, but I kind of just sat here staring dead panned the entire time. I hoped the surrounding cast characters would flesh it out a bit better for me, but it's just not working.

It looks fine enough, but the animation itself is a bit limited much of the time.

I'm going to pass on watching anymore of this one.

Touring After the Apocalypse Episode 1 Impressions

Hmmm. Visually it's kind of okay. The CG of the vehicles is annoying. You can also clearly tell anything moving stands out against the background layer wise.

It was pretty chill until a certain action sequence kicked off and we learn something interesting. But I made me wonder if this show will do more action going forward or just get back to mostly exploring.

I want to give this show a shot, but the CG annoys me anytime it's used. I'll be give another episode or 2 a shot to see if the use of CG goes down.

My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge! Episode 1 Impressions

I've read the first few light novel volumes so I know what to expect from this show. It's a dumb revenge story with a ridiculous gacha mechanic.

It seems to be decently animated and they definitely nail the evil and vile personalities of his party members that turn on him.

I'll be keeping up with this one since I know the story already. First episode was good setup, so we'll see how the show manages the story going forward.

My Awkward Senpai Episode 1 Impressions

First off, not entirely sold on how the characters look overall. Sometimes it looks good and other times it feels off. It's really odd.

Other than that, this seems like it's gonna be a super cute senpai and kohai office rom-com. Kannawan is adorable.

The opening theme song is a banger tho. Got some strong 80s vibes from it.

Wonder how this holds up for a whole season. I'll definitely check out another couple episodes before making a Decision.

Cat's Eye (2025) First Impressions

Great to see a remake of a classic series. This was a lot of fun to watch and great nostalgia. Music slaps too, with Ado doing a cover of ANRI's original Cat's Eye theme for the ending.

Show focused on a few investigations, and mostly felt like setup for how the girls are thieve,s and their relationship with the cop Toshio.

Really pumped to continue this one this season!

A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai Episode 1 Impressions

I thought this was going to be isekai show that would be half-assed and throw away, but it was decently good.

It looks better than I assumed, and had some cute and funny moments. The MC is pretty cookie cutter, but the little dragon buddy is ADORABLE!

I don't know if it can keep this up for 12 episodes, but I'm definitely down to give it a couple more.

A Wild Last Boss Appears Episode 1 Impressions

Show looks better than I expected it to, and just like the manga and light novels, the beginning continues to pull me in.

I haven't finished the manga, and the light novels lost my interest, so I'm wondering if the anime can keep me interested.

Still I'm down to give this a few more episodes as this first one is well done.
