All pics shared with permission*Highly highly highly recommended the Falconry experience at Torrey Pines Gliderport if you are nearabouts. Book in advance - it's an approx 2 hr session. Worth every minute! The handlers and explanations were so good!

Kids (and others, group there) also got to receive and send Logan the Harris #Hawk to the next person's glove. This is best I could do to keep up with my poor photography skills - especially in switching settings. Got the stills ok at least.

Corona [born in 2020] the Lanner Falcon - with Kid2 and Kid1.
Corona hopped around on gloves while Reggie (see 👆🏽 previous) flew around and cleared the skies.
Kids1&2 got to see Corona up close as we all got a fascinating info dump on falcons and #Falconry and raptors from the Falconer/handler. -

Stepping into #PippingfordPark during the #MedievalFestival feels like the modern world just stopped existing. I spent the day wandering between #falconry displays and the #archery range, surrounded by people who take their #history seriously. The #jousting is intense, but the real charm is the #medieval tavern where stories flow as fast as the ale. A perfect way to spend a bank holiday weekend in #EastSussex.

I recently put the Cricut to work cutting out a spectrum of falconry cuff templates. I can easily scale to more sizes if I need to. The Cricut can cut leather directly too, but I prefer templates as it's less wasteful. Oh, & see the extra tiny grommet? A new option for bell attachment. :>
