@emilyk @marafish Black people (including Jews) have been kind enough to explain to me that in its cultural context, the phrase has to be taken as a whole. “They killed Jesus, what do you think they’ll do to you” is like saying there are some people you just can’t trust. That’s why #fakefriends. In context, it had nothing to do with us Jews. Not the same as when white Christians directly accuse us of deicide! (This has been a learning experience for me.)
