  13. Por si lo de la "imitación de salsa de tomate catsup" no fuera suficiente, acabo de descubrir algo que me dejó helado. La etiqueta de lo que le puse a la pizza dice "sabor imitación queso cheddar", la respuesta corta es: no es queso real.

    🤔 ¿Entonces qué rayos estoy comiendo desde ayer?

    Para que algo se llame "queso", tiene que ser pura grasa de leche. Las imitaciones suelen cambiar esa grasa por aceite vegetal, almidones, colorantes y un montón de espesante y estabilizantes. Aunque a veces tienen un poquito (casi nada) de caseína (una proteína de la leche), técnicamente son más un "producto procesado" que un lácteo de verdad.

    Básicamente, pagamos por algo que se derrite y sabe igual al queso, pero que nutricionalmente no tiene nada que ver con el cheddar original.

    Desde hoy, ¡A leer bien esas etiquetas!
