Discovered at 1am this morning that adult offspring working in large #Brisbane hotel as casual bar attendant has NOT been paid any penalty rates for working Christmas Eve, Boxing Day nor NYE and NY Day!
They were told it is because they were recruited by 3rd party labour hire firm there is no requirement for them to pay then the penalty rates.
I am shocked. They wonder why no one one wants to work in hospitality any more!
I have checked the #FairworkAustralia website but wonder if anyone knows IR laws and can advise.
I'm fuming.
