Far too many Democrats I know embrace free trade as if they learned absolutely nothing from the economic disaster that was NAFTA and numerous other "free" trade agreements that exploited foreign workforces and killed off American manufacturing and production, not to mention only growing our global environmental disaster. Some are feeling even more emboldened due to Trump's paleoconservative approach to tariffs.
I'm no protectionist but I stand with organized labor against the majority of these agreements that only serve to enrich the already wealthiest corporations.

Der Artikel ist weiterhin aktuell und ein gutes Zeichen für fair gehandelte Produkte! Es zeigt, dass mehr Menschen es wichtig finden, dass andere nicht ausgebeutet werden.
Viele wissen aber noch nicht, dass es auch faire Technik-Produkte gibt, wie z.B. das Fairphone oder die Faire Maus. Wir setzen uns dafür ein, dass sich das ändert.

W DRK od lat trwa kryzys humanitarny, który jest następstwem obcych wpływów, w tym globalnych koncernów technologicznych czerpiących zyski z eksploatacji największych na świecie złóż kobaltu.
Podczas spotkania przedstawione zostaną podstawowe informacje na temat DRK, wyświetlony zostanie krótki film, „Crisis in the Congo: Uncovering the Truth”, a na koniec będzie można się rozluźnić, tańcząc do elektronicznych rytmów dwóch DJek.
W trakcie wydarzenia będzie można wrzucić do puszki (bądź przesłać blikiem) pieniądze, które wesprą organizację pomocową Team Congo.

I like being able to support women farming and running their own businesses, and given that coffee often contributes to modern slavery, it's worth taking care with where you get coffee. We try to only get Fair Trade stuff where possible.
