Wenn ein führender Politiker öffentlich erklärt, eine Hintergrundüberprüfung eines Schiedsrichters veranlasst zu haben, nachdem dieser eine Rote Karte gezeigt hat, setzt das ein deutliches Signal. Eine solche Aussage muss auch als Versuch verstanden werden, Druck auf Unparteiische auszuüben oder sie einzuschüchtern.

Fußball gehört den Menschen – nicht der Macht.
Die FIFA gibt sich unpolitisch, sucht aber immer wieder die Nähe zu autoritären Regierungen und mächtigen Staatschefs. Menschenrechte und demokratische Werte geraten dabei zu oft in den Hintergrund.
Fairplay muss auch abseits des Spielfelds gelten. Das System Infantino hat ausgedient – die FIFA braucht endlich echte Reformen.
