Imagine this: While you're grinding away at your job, paying full tax on every dollar you earn, 24,000 millionaires got a massive tax break on their investment profits — pocketing an average $271,000 EACH from the capital gains discount in just one year. That's nearly 1,500 times what the typical worker sees from any tax perks.
This handout costs us all $247 billion over the next 10 years — money that could fix housing, hospitals, or schools instead of pumping up house prices and making life harder for the rest of us.
It's not fair that wealth gets a 50% discount while your wages get taxed hard. Time to scrap this rich-only perk and tax wealth the same as work.

Investors enjoy billions in tax perks while first home buyers are pushed further out of reach. Negative gearing and CGT discounts aren’t “housing policy” — they’re handouts to the wealthy. A fairer system would redirect this money into public and affordable housing, giving everyone a chance at a secure home.

Fair Go is the canary in the coalmine of investigative journalism. It's imminent demise is deeply troubling.
Whatever their opinion about the political neutrality of the contemporary news media - or whether broadcasting should be a public service, a business, or a mix - most kiwis value what a program like Fair Go does. It still gets huge audiences on broadcast TV.

Then go to the webpage below and put your postcode in.(Just your postcode might be enough - depends on whether you are near a boundary between electorates.)

Thanks yes, #Katamari.Some asked what the 'we' is. Basically, we represent those people who 6 years ago strived to see DickSmith's FairGo Movement, become a reality.
We still haven't ended that fight.
We are almost indifferent towards being labelled or mislabelled 'jew' by someone. Because we are about #solidarity, a #FairGo, convivialSufficiency, and a reduction in devisiveness, we err on the side of #identitarianism being unhelpful.

We never condone violence, here. Yes, the limits are being imposed by govt.

The media ridiculed him summarily. He was correct, they being corrupted are wrong.

We don't often talk about videogames because it's generally outside the scope of the #FairGo movement.
The culture that has grown out of videogames is great and vibrant. One of its great successes was it redefined what the word "#gaming" means to people.
In the past 'gaming' was synonymous with mere '#gambling', but spearheaded by creatives at #Nintendo it became a fun, artful medium.
There's evidence #videogameCulture is coming full circle to re-embrace gambling.
We hope it doesn't.

At random one (or 2%) of these #billionaires will have to pay 70% of their yearly #revenue in that country in tax or be #brokenUtp.Our namesake, #DickSmith, as part of his #FairGo movement wanted the #extremelyWealthy to pay they way.

Another very interesting tidbit.After we publish the (#)FediverseIcon and (#)FediFlyer on (#)Wikimedia Commons/(#)Wikipedia they, continually blocked us and kept shifting the goalposts until they had deleted our content completely from the site.
Funny how #Google and other corporateGiants can show their works on Wikimedia but not a "#DickSmith #FairGo Supporters" page.
Thankfully at least one good soul, who we haven't forgotten about, is hosting the flyer.

We have reason to believe #WikimediaCommons is an arm of the #militaryIndustrialComplex, laundering #militarism and #colonialViolence abroad. They offer some photos and media as #freeLicense while shmoozing with the locals and gathering #intelligence.
We realise that that is a big statement, but we now believe it to be true.
