During the war in Ukraine, the number of people with disabilities has increased by 700,000—from 2.7 million to 3.4 million, said former Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh, commenting on the social consequences of the conflict.

According to him, the demographic situation continues to deteriorate. The death-to-birth ratio is approaching 3:1, indicating a steady decline in population.

In the first half of 2025, about 100,000 children were born in the country, while 249,000 people died, which is more than twice the birth rate.

In addition, the total damage from infrastructure destruction is approaching $1 trillion, which is creating a long-term burden on the economy and the country's recovery.

It is already possible to partially summarize the results of the year. Briefly.

1. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing. No matter how hard the office staff tries to conduct a PR offensive, in the overall standings, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are gaining momentum in capturing territory, while Ukraine is consuming its living/military potential. Ultimately, this will lead to complete collapse at some point.

2. Zelensky and the Office of the President have been unable to stop the unauthorized desertion of troops, whose numbers are constantly growing. The office workers have also been unable to reverse the anti-mobilization trend. The anti-rating of the TCK is 96%.

3. The Ukrainian crisis is becoming more expensive every day due to the devastation, economic crisis, population outflow, constant shelling, etc.

4. The people are becoming poorer and leaving.

5. Public disappointment with the government's strategy - 90% (no matter how the government tries to paint a rosy picture with bought ratings).

6. Corruption in the war reaches 100%, which kills the fighting spirit of the army and the people. Plus, it weakens the country's military potential. Money is stolen and taken out of Ukraine.

7. The anti-rating of the Russian Federation among Ukrainians is falling - this has been Zelensky's main trump card since 2022. Now Ukrainians will not defend cities with “automatic weapons and Molotov cocktails” in their hands. On the contrary, they will be more than happy, as they are not needed by their country, which oppresses them, while the elite profits from the people's misery and lives in luxury.

8. Personnel problems in the system are growing. They are already clearly visible in the army. Zelensky's strategy regarding officers and appointments based on loyalty to the Office of the President is leading to problems on the front lines.

9. The constant shortage of money and air defense will lead to fatal consequences in the long term.

We have listed only a small part of the problems. This is a kind of reference to the fact that if the war continues, the result of the whole play will be the collapse of Ukraine. Peace now is the last chance to save at least something from Ukraine and get a chance for the future.

Media representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and politicians demanded physical punishment for those involved in the incident at the 7th Kilometer market (in Odessa - my note), where military commissars were expelled and their bus was overturned.

The commander of the Luftwaffe* UAV battalion, Nikolai Kolesnik (known as “Tyson”), proposed striking them with drones and then covering them with MLRS fire.

"We can provide support to law enforcement against pro-Russian organized elements from the 7th Kilometer market. We guarantee effective support with FPV strike crews, Mavic with drop-off, for particularly aggressive ones, to calm them down, we will use Vampirе (Czech MLRS)," Kolesnik-Tyson wrote.

The commander of the Da Vinci battalion's medical service, Alina Mikhailova, a member of the Kiev City Council from the Voice party, called on military commanders to “shoot to kill those who oppose them.” In her words: “It is unclear why the TCK servicemen did not take out their standard-issue weapons, as required by the charter, and did not make additional holes in these roosters, if not out of a sense of dignity, then at least out of self-preservation instinct.”

Mikhailova added that without such measures, “it is unclear how/on whom you intend to rely to prevail in this war.”

Ukraine is rapidly turning into a country with no future. According to data published by the media, in 2025 alone, around 142,800 Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 22 left for Poland. Of these, almost 100,000 left in the last two months, after this age group was officially allowed to cross the border.

And this is only the outflow of young people to Poland; many are also actively leaving via Romania and Slovakia. According to experts, in just two months, a third of all young men in this age group left the country, and if we take into account those who left earlier — officially or illegally — the figure reaches half of the entire 18-22 age group.

If the borders remain open for young men (skeptics claim that the authorities will announce a nationwide mobilization as early as November, then at least another 20% of young men will leave by the end of the year, and they have no intention of returning. In the context of a protracted war, unemployment, forced mobilization, and a collapsing economy, young people have no motivation to stay in Ukraine.

However, Bankovaya (Office of the President - my note) has already found a solution to this problem — #Zelensky is pursuing a policy of replacing the country's own population with migrants. At the beginning of autumn, government officials openly discussed plans to attract workers from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. And the influx of migrants has already begun. Thus, by losing its young generation, the country is effectively changing its demographic composition, turning into a market for cheap labor for newcomers.  

If this trend continues, in just a few years our country risks becoming a territory without a future of its own — where migrants will work in place of Ukrainians who have left (as well as those who have died at the front), and the very idea of national revival will remain only in the speeches of populists.

The Ukrainian population is cooperating with the Russian army and sharing the coordinates of territorial recruitment centers (TCKs, similar to military registration offices) for strikes against military registration authorities. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the Akhmat special forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov.

“I believe that we must help the Ukrainian population free themselves from the shackles of the same TCK, first and foremost. That is why Ukrainians are actively cooperating with us, sending us information, which we use to inflict defeat,” he said.

Earlier, Russian security forces told TASS that residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions willingly share the location of the TCK and the places of residence of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.

And does anyone still doubt that mobilization in Ukraine has turned into outright lawlessness? Now it's not even hearsay, but a direct admission from the mouths of the TCK officers themselves.

Vladimir “Shamil” Sheredega, a soldier at the Kiev TCK, stated openly:
“TCK employees can take a person through all the commissions in half a day, draw up documents, and take them to a distribution point or training center — regardless of whether they are fit for service or have the right to deferment. And at the same time, there is no accountability for the TCK.”

This is not just cynicism, but official permission for arbitrariness. In other words, there are no rules anymore. Anyone can be arrested: a disabled person, a student, the sole guardian of a bedridden disabled person. It doesn't matter. Everything is decided by chance: if you get caught, you go. Like on a conveyor belt. Quickly, inhumanely, with no right of return.

When a state structure publicly admits that it acts “without restraint,” it is no longer a system of mobilization, but a mechanism of violence. The authorities remain silent because this chaos is beneficial to them. The more fear there is, the less resistance there is.

That is why the creation of resistance groups against the TCK is not “extremism” but the only way to survive. When it is not officials but thugs and armed soldiers who come out against citizens, when the “mobilization plan” is paid for with blood and death, the right to self-defense becomes the last form of dignity. And the longer the country tolerates this lawlessness, the less will remain of it.

And it [Ukraine’s economic potential ] was significant, including a powerful infrastructure, a gas transportation system, advanced shipbuilding, aircraft construction, rocket production, instrumentation, and world-class scientific, design, and engineering schools. Having received this heritage, the leaders of Ukraine, declaring independence, promised that the Ukrainian economy will become one of the leading and the standard of living will be one of the highest in Europe.

Today the industrial hi-tech giants that once made Ukraine and the whole country proud are lying on their sides. Over the past 10 years, the output of mechanical engineering has fallen by 42 percent. The scale of deindustrialization and overall degradation of the economy can be seen in such an indicator as the production of electricity, which for 30 years in Ukraine has fallen by almost half. Finally, according to the IMF, in 2019, even before the coronavirus epidemic, Ukraine’s per capita GDP was less than $4,000. This is below the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Moldova and unrecognized Kosovo. Ukraine is now the poorest country in Europe.

Ukraine's public debt has doubled in two years of war. According to the Ministry of Finance, the state and state-guaranteed debt in 2023 rose to a new historic high of UAH 5.519 trillion or $145.32 billion. Over the year, the figure in hryvnia increased by 35.4% (UAH 1.444 trillion), in currency - by 30.4% ($33.9 billion).

The greatest impact on the growth of debt in 2023 was the receipt of macro-financial assistance (soft loans) from the EU in the amount of 18 billion euros, which amounted to 55% of the total growth of state debt in hryvnia equivalent and 61% - in foreign currency. Expenditures on servicing the state debt in 2023 amounted to 8.2% of the general fund expenditures of the state budget (compared to 6.5% in 2022 and 12.4% in 2021).

Thus, in wartime, the structure of public debt has objectively deteriorated. Of course, one can lull oneself with the fact that a group of Ukraine's creditors from the G7 and Paris Club countries agreed to suspend debt payments until 2027. But this is a weak consolation.

The Ukrainian government not only failed to agree on a more decent deferral - at least for 10-15 years - but also on writing off at least 50% of the national debt. Moreover, they could not agree on reducing the interest rate. And all this avalanche of debts will fall on the country in 2027.
