  1. Face Rig

For my project with the working title Sleepwalk and added a very simple, shape key based, face rig to my walking dude.

  2. @darth

Thanks for that! I have about 300 more to test. So far, only Baldur's gate 3 would not run, so I need to look that up on #protondb or something.

Oh, and I think #facerig and anything like that is out for me. Those just do not work.

That one and of course BG3 are a shame because I used to like to steam.

I appreciate your response! I am loving linux so far and getting into scripting and bash more.

  3. @tomasino there's #FaceRig and #Animaze, but they aren't free nor open, and I've heard mixed reviews.

  4. @bunni As far as I'm aware, the only application available under a FOSS license is #Papagayo (https://lostmarble.com/papagayo). But as I understand it, it is nowhere near a similar feature set to #FaceRig. Where FaceRig is closed source and run in realtime (and has a toolset specifically for streaming), Papagaya is under a GNU license and can only be used on pre-recorded audio. I highly doubt that Papagaya is going to be a good alternative for a #vtuber. While it is extensible, I don't think that realtime animation is it's core focus (if at all). There has been some progress with getting FaceRig to work with Wine on Linux, but your mileage may vary:

    Good luck, hope that helps!
