  4. From WaPo:

Leaders at the Kennedy School “were inappropriately influenced by Meta/Facebook,” Donovan claims in her declaration. “A significant conflict of interest arising from funding and personal relationships has created a pervasive culture at HKS of operating in the best interest of Facebook/Meta at the expense of academic freedom and Harvard’s own stated mission.”

  5. Top #Meta executive said the company's name change was a success because it beat out coverage of the '#FacebookPapers' revelations

    That could always change, again.

  8. @boud stopping algorithmic amplification in under-moderated languages, or just not launching in countries without sufficient moderators ready to go, would be even better. Not commenting on individual articles, but #FacebookPapers sadly show how ineffectual internal reports mostly are

  9. Facebook manipulates users & puts their bottom line above everything else, including user safety, as confirmed by the internal #FacebookPapers.

  10. The #facebookpapers are just the latest in a long string of #Facebook scandals, and of course, their fresh #Meta turn. Back in 2018, we removed them from our Speed Dials. (a selection of bookmarks on the Start Page of the #browser) 👇

And now that more than 60 stories have been published and even more newsrooms are joining the #facebookpapers consortium, AP has a handy explainer with further lists for all stories

  12. While I will never forget that the AP was so far in bed with the Nazis they had to cover it up after WWII; they do occasionally latch onto something big.

Guess I'll be reading all night then:
