I'm certain that #FaceBlindness is a big part of why I like dressing as creatures whether it's being #Xenomorph or wearing a silly Halloween mask.
In ordinary life, I look in at my face in a mirror and see a slab of flesh which looks like carefully arranged teratoma, with slight coincidental symmetry.
But with a mask on (even a silly grinning dogman), I feel aesthetic. And I love it.

There is one acquaintance whom I’ve known for years but never recognize when I see them. I don’t know why their face is especially generic to me. Whenever I bump into them in public, they always says hi and greet me warmly, and I’m mystified because I have no idea who they are. It has happened so often, that I now know if a generic person greets me like this, it’s probably them. And I have actually remembered their name because of this. I will never tell you if you are the one.
