He said the federal government should also consider whether to impose additional export tariffs or taxes on shipments of U.S. thermal coal through B.C. port facilities.
Eby said he understands from Canada’s side that progress was being made on softwood lumber during the trade talks.
"And it is disappointing obviously that that wasn't made real in terms of the new agreement. But let's not be naive about this; any agreement that would have been signed with this president wouldn't have lasted as long as it took him to write his signature," he said.
"The only way to deal with a thug and a bully is to stand up to him, that's why the prime minister's step was the right one.””

Now that #Carney has (finally) decided to stop trying to appease the orange menace, who can't be trusted to honour a deal he himself makes, we should start making the hard decisions.
For one, cancel the F-35 deal - at least anything we're not 100% legally committed to. Partner with Saab and build the Gripen here in Canada.
Ideally I'd like to take the handful of F-35s we already have, land them on the White House lawn, and set them on fire.

On Sunday night, activists carried out a protest at the headquarters of the Danish arms manufacturer Terma in Lystrup (Århus)
The company manufactures weapons components for Israel, which uses these components in the genocide against the Palestinians.
When the activist were leaving, the police officers confronted the activists with batons and disproportional violence for chilling effect.

Iran IRGC claim that they destroyed 3 F-35s and damaged 3 more during today's missile attacks against US bases in #Jordan.
