GE Revives 30-Year-Old Tech for Shield AI's Unmanned Fighter

GE Aerospace has dusted off a 30-year-old technology, the axisymmetric vectoring exhaust nozzle (AVEN), which was originally designed to boost F-16 agility, and is now pairing it with an F110 engine for Shield AI's unmanned fighter. The hardware, which had been in storage for decades, was surprisingly found to be in very good condition.

Un caccia F-16 in forza a Kiev ha abbattuto per la prima volta un aereo russo in combattimento aereo. A confermarlo è stato il generale Dan Caine, capo di Stato maggiore congiunto Usa, in un'audizione al Senato. Secondo la ricostruzione della Bild, l'abbattimento del Su-35 sarebbe avvenuto al termine di un'imboscata nei cieli della regione di Sumy, con il decisivo apporto di un aereo-radar svedese Saab.
