#Singapore 's #SimplyGo web portal is discontinued?? and eventho I already had an account + linked my VISA to their #EZ-link or wtv it's called, doesn't seem that I could access their mobile app anymore since the login asked for an SG mobile number, when the old login I had was purely email. Too bad, cos that thing was cool.

Study Taiwan’s EasyCard system
"EasyCard is linked to an app where people can top up online, check their travel history & de-link the card to protect their card balance in case of loss. Card deductions & balances r also displayed on fare readers. EasyCard can last 20 years VS #ezlink card’s 5 years. ( #LTA) shld study this account-based sys & improve the lifespan of cards rolled out in e future. This wld address #commuters’ concerns"

"I wouldn’t hv known abt the drawbacks of #SimplyGo by reading its marketing paraphernalia or earlier news reports. It’s like pushing a product & neglect'g even a cautionary statement in e fine print. Then u get a surprise when you use it. In fact, it didn't start as a replacement for #EZLink, but more for the convenience of credit card holders .. reflects a #bureaucracy that seems to be #outoftouch with people’s needs"
