  1. I really hate when the #filament breaks just at the #extruder. And this time breaked because the #nozzle was completely occluded, apparently. So I have to dismantle the whole #HotEnd and #BowdenTube.
Sometimes I hate #3Dprinting (or maybe it's my printer?)

  5. I've got A LOT of failed prints with my #creality #ender5 #3Dprinter. It #clogs very easily. I tought the #filament was wet, but a couple of hours ago it #clogged very badly and I had to completely #disassemble the #extruder, #hotend and even cut a little piece of #bowdentube... before doing all this work I looked at a video explaining how to do it and...

...I SAW it. The #fan. The f...ing extruder fan in the video was running from the moment the #printer was switched on. I have never seen mine running, I always tought it was temperature controlled or something... It was just #jammed 🤦‍♂️ Unfortunately the plastic was very tired by the heat, so a blade broke instantly while cleaning it.

It seems I have to wait for a #replacement part, but at least I found the problem. That's why the printer was SO #temperamental!

  8. One nozzle replacement and cooling assembly upgrade later, and my 4y old Prusa Mk3S+ is back to printing at excellent quality.
The new cooling assembly provides a higher flow rate while focusing the air onto the extruded filament a lot better than the old one. And I replaced the worn 2yo .4mm nozzle with a new .6mm one. 10/10 worth it.

  9. Best extruder cover so far 👌🏽
The loading circle is connected to the motor shaft, so it spins while printing :neocat_floof_cute:

  12. This is how serviceable the BearExxa V2 is. 4 screws + unplug the motor and you have access to gearing, hobb gears, idler door, filament sensor and top of PTFE. Cleaning is a breeze!

For the reassembly: no gears to adjust, nothing to align or center, no extra tool, no warranty void!

On the back you can access all the wiring and belt path with just a few screws and without having to unplug anything. 2 more screws and you can remove the extruder.

  21. One of the most interesting 3D printing tech video I have seen in a while. Building an extruder isn't just about push force and weight, it is a lot more complex. To the point it is really difficult to make an in depth review. We can see how advanced E3D is in their R&D. Also, some good questions from Stefan and Tom.

  25. I got stuck, troubleshooting my #BTT #BigTreeTech #Octopus 1.1 mainboard, installed in newly assembled #RatRig #V-core #3Dprinter, running #RatOS aka #Klipper.

Both #nozzle (#extruder) #heater and #hotbed one do not warm up. Beyond all doubt (using external power sources and hairdryer) I confirmed that both thermistors, heaters and wiring are ok.

Under warranty, RatRig sent me replacement board, which I configured, flashed with updated firmware and got the same error.
I also tried to redirect the nozzle heater power to another pin (see in the config file at lib.tepewu.pl/f/8f1d29fe05d44c…) where I hooked up the multimeter. Nothing happened, when I set up nozzle temp to 50*C - after timeout I had the same error "extruder is not heating fast enough", thus klipper shutdown.

I cannot believe to have such a bad luck to got two boards with the same hardware fault (especially that steppers and hotbed probe work perfectly), so it is something I do not know - and I run out of ideas.

Please, somebody suggest something new. Hjalp.
